Throughout its recent history, Liverpool has existed with a different mindset to the rest of the country. Where a lot of modern Britons are isolationist, jingoist and afraid of the Other, Liverpool faces outwards across the Atlantic towards America to the west and Europe to the south far more than it looks inwards on Britain. Though far from perfect, it is much more accepting of cultural diversity than a majority of towns, and rejects those who perceive themselves as elite or superior. No wonder the Royal family isn't popular here.quote the whole fucking paragraph! quite fucking incredible.

Wow. Literally every scouser I know is massively racist. Let's not forgot Barton's brother putting an axe in someone's head for being black.

Explains quite a fair bit that piece. Maybe it is now time to cut that eyesore off from the main land and float them into the sea.

People attracted by the port? Most of them were slaves! How ludicrous can you get?
Absolute propaganda that piece and nothing more. Ask Howard Gayle how accepting Liverpool people are.
I suspect 39 Italian families would have something to say about that too.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Yet it's circulated by a Liverpool Echo twitter account.

That's fucking hilarious. Liverpool is as English as gammon and warm beer.
How does killing Europeans work when it comes to facing outwards?

This is a photo of a scouse2 fan on the train back to Cambridge after Community Shield.
He chose to wear that cap just to try to wind people up.
Other than me taking this photo, everyone ignored him.
Edit ,- can't upload. I'll find out how to do it.
