Tbf isnt it so that we can get up for it as fans to stick it to them? City vs city and it's a training match

He is probably trying the make it more Manchester centric because all of the proceeds are going to the Manchester homeless charity.

I am not going anyway so I don't care who plays tbh. Been to loads of these type of occasions in the past and ha e never enjoyed them.

I like my footy to be competitive, can't be arsed with these testimonials. Although Denis Irwin's was funny, good old Georgie Weah

Not sure what he's trying to do there, it's one or the other, you can't do player/manager at that level.

Also he hasn't retried from the national team and has been called up for the next international break.

It's okay, he'll probably add Rio to cover him.

Out with a muscular injury and likely wont play in his own testimonial. Is there anything more representative of Kompany?

Ankle injury at 75 mins, this article also suggests he might miss his own testimonial.

It also says he relinquished is management duties to focus on being a player / captain

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49455583

So injured, out playing before everything else - I don't like the outcome but I still admire his attitude, some pretty Stoic traits.

Re testimonial - I'd love to have seen appearances from Goat, Dickov, Morrison, Weaver, Horlock, Tiatto, Wiekens, Bosvet, Distin, Ireland, both Schmeichels, Berkovic, Bernabia, Jihai, Sibierski, Wanchope, Keegan, Psycho, Bellars and, just for a laugh, Vuoso.
Royle as manager of one of the teams.

That would actually be class!!! They could do a tournament over a weekend like RL does with the magic weekend and it'd raise a lot for charity and actually be enjoyable

Don't think its a joke. He is listed on the City OS as one of the midfielders.
Interesting to see the reception he gets, but afterall it is for charity.
