I think this is also about Pep letting experienced players be ahead rather than just having Gundo play deeper, or whether he thinks that's where he operates best.

I've also seen Gundo do well making runs into the box, but is a little strange why Pep would be worried about protection for Rodri at home against Wolves other than due to counter attacking.

There wouldn't have been any counterattacking in the 1st half if Walker, Mahrez and Otamendi hadn't played stupid blind balls. Put us under pressure.
Foden should have been on for Silva or Gundogan at half time as well as Zinchenko for Walker.

Strange, I thought the first half was good to watch, not a good performance but good to watch. Not the usual one way traffic, couple of quick Wolves breakaways wastes by poor finishing. Went down hill second half, but far from the worst I have seen for years.

Disagree .
Wolves were organised and intelligent.

They were. But the time wasting from 10 minutes in and the constant looking for fouls. The player that took the long way round to go off when being subbed. All that makes them a disgrace.

You know what, going today reminded me why I gave my season ticket up. Teams every week coming to COMS and just whacking 11 behind the ball. Apart from City and Liverpool the league is fuckin shite.

On to us - that performance was disgusting. There was no heart or determination. Sterling typified that in the first half by not wanting the ball at all and pointing to other players when he was open for a pass.

Gundo is a great squad player to have. He should not be playing every week. Bernardo played great in the middle last year. Why does he have to be shoved out on the wing now?!

Mahrez should have stayed on. He got a goal from nothing against Everton, and as soon as he was taken off wouldn't you know it, we get a free kick in a position he'd have taken it.

The referee was a disgrace. Let wolves waste time and just held his arm as if to say "I've stopped the time". Same with letting their player walk across the whole pitch to go off. Booking our players straight away, blowing when we got the ball. He was a disgrace, but he wasn't the reason we lost.

No passion whatsoever.

Also, Fern in defence....we BADLY miss him in his old position. Some of those Wolves breaks today wouldn't have happened if Fern had been playing there. It's no excuse to say we have no defenders fit. Put Walker there.

Get Fern back in his natural position.

Still traveling back. Horrible display. I'd love to know how many times Gundogan passed the ball backwards. Awful 1-11.

Surely that was a penalty when Jesus was actually shoved off the ball in the area ? Twice i might add.
grappled down when the goalie ended up making a good save.

It doesn't make up for City having a poor game , but makes it all a little more annoying.

As for the comments about Wolves playing well, 10 men constantly packed in around your own box is not good football.

However, i don't think pep got his starting line up right. Bernie is a starter for me and he should start young phil now because Merlin is losing his touch.

+1
The equivalent of the school yard goal hanger! The only winners today were bus-parking and time-wasting......oh, and murderers.

Never play Rodri and Gundo in the same midfield. It is so negative. So anti pep.
If he persists with this nonsense expect more days lije this.
Exactly as I said after the Norwich debacle.
We are now competing for a CL spot, not the league.
Unless summat weird happens at Scouse 3

Pep just sticks in top drawer players no matter how fucking shit they were in previous games .

Unless Angelino is rank in training then I cannot believe he’s worse than Zinchenko or worse than a right back playing in that position and after watching him in his last game , it would be a no brainer starting him.

Foden , based on what we have seen of him recently , should be a starter or at worst come on with 30
Minutes left to play but no matter how fucking good he plays in a previous game Baldie will not play him ,,,not even in the final 15 will he play him .
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

as soon as we saw gundo and silva were starting, we all knew how this game would play out. the two of them together are an absolute fucking boat anchor in midfield.

Fern needs to go back in to his natural position. That's what we're missing imo. He's intelligent.

It's been a month now since Pep said "we will use Eric Garcia and Taylor Harwood-Bellis"...lying prick.

Would you want to use an inexperienced player with Otter? Garcia and Fern maybe. But don't stifle our attacking play with Gundogan and Rodri. We were so easy to keep at arms length yesterday and it was entirely predictable.

Yeah I would. The importance of Fern in his natural role is really understated. Otamendi isn't shit like people are making out. He's this seasons boo boy. But two seasons ago he was our best defender.
