Foden

That is all.

I think you have difficulty with simple concepts Carl. I never said he shouldn't play, I say currently you wouldn't pick him ahead of Silva, De Bruyne, Sterling or Bernardo , well maybe you would?

It's a squad game and he played we'll. Two starts end of last season he sank without trace.

Daft classic youngster sending off of course. Could've cost us on another day but then you think he's the finished article

The one where he scored the winner against Spurs?

Exactly

I'm sure you are taking the piss but it's generally accepted by the non-blinkered that he scored a goal early on and was never seen again, whilst we hung on like grim death. That's the one.

What is your first eleven? Is he in instead of Silva, De Bruyne, Sterling? Carl normally screams when Silva plays instead of him, which just shows what a nutty argument it is.

I'm sure he will be he great player and luckily he is patient and sensible.

I personally think we're suffering from Fern not playing in his normal position more than anything. We're cut through so easily at times.

Re: Foden, I think he deserves more than the 3 minutes he gets here and there. I wouldn't start him instead of any of those players, but when we're 2 or 3 up he's waiting until 87 minutes to bring him on.

Fern in MF will be a stroke of luck, he is not a C/H but looking at Stones who I know needs games to get up-to speed we need another as he looks a shadow of the player, even if rusty and where has the shiner come from.

His girlfriend's husband?? :D :D

Seriously, he needs to get his head screwed back on & concentrate as we are going to need him at Anfield judging by the mounting injuries & the number of games that we are going to face before then. I'm expecting more crazy team selections from Pep over the next few games prior to Liverpool - starting with this weekend

Shiner came from the Palace game, his eye was split.

Hes already a great player FYI and will only get better playing more than the ridiculous 3 minutes PeP gives him.

Yes , I would play him over DS as he offers more to the squad IMO - you never say diddly squat when DS has a shit game (and he has had shit games this season ) but that's all papered over when he plays the next game like the DS of old.

Even the other players that you mention have had a shit game here and there so there should be no automatic choices , it should be based on training performances or the last game performance to be picked.

RE His sending off - was utter utter bullshit and all he has to learn is that this competition refs are not premier refs- both shit but more so in this competition.
The player that has to learn is Ed who gave the fucking ball away to begin with which ended up with Foden having to pull back that forward who might have run on to score - none of that would have happened if ED had not given the ball away to begin with - apart from that one moment Ed was flawless in his passing.

His 1st booking was bullshit but once he had been given it his 2nd was naive at best and he'll learn from it.
Yes it was a shit pass from Ed but he's entitled to 1.
Their penalty was a from a shit pass from Mendy initially but Fern still shouldn't have done that challenge there.
Laporte's injury was as a result of a shit pass from Zinchenko.
Foden is going to be world class if he carries on like this. He should definitely get more than a few minutes here and there. He'd probably have got 45 minutes against Watford if he wasn't ill for that game but the 2nd booking last night was stupid.

Foden did not deserve the sending off , the Referee was cowardly, he let a lot more serious fouling, feigning injury go and made simply bad decisions.

The ref was rubbish. He was very wrong to book foden for the first yellow, since it was foden being manhandled . I don't know how he could get a foden foul there. Second was petulant from the ref.

The ref did make bad decisions, i.e his first booking but the second yellow was silly.
It was directly in front of us and as soon as he did it we all said he was going off.

Fans talk about Foden as if hes never fucking played under pressure before.

He has played in the WC youth championships and won it , being MOTM numerous times and has also played in the premiership and scored important goals for the club at all levels.

https://mcfcxtra.com/2019/10/23/phil-fo ... -atalanta/

I say he should rotate with DS and not just come on for his usual injury time minutes ( 11 mins he has played since the start of the season ,to be precise)
