This Weekend's Other Games | 23-25 Nov19

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I want Poch.

It's a no brainer. He lives in north London. Probably won't want to leave the area.

We probably won't make the CL at the end of this season, and with Poch we may not even play attractive football, but we would play effective football. Planned, tactical football. Not EmeryBall. Not Good Ebening. We need Gooooood Morning Vietnam! kinda football

It's not a matter of want, mate, it's a matter of need. Just from today's game you can assume that 'Poch,' was fucked over by the players and board. He is a progressive coach who realised there was no progression with Spurs and got bored. The problem is. Is it the same at Arsenal?

Ps. Your name sake isn't doing so well, the Mrs told me ;-)

I think the problem we've got at Arsenal is the players have downed tools, too. (Not completely, of course, otherwise we wouldn't see ourselves even get the customary draw at home). It's very much like the Chelsea/Leicester City scenarios where the players have wanted a manager out.

I get where you're coming from with Pochettino. He will need money. He's moaned about it in the past (justifiably, one might argue, given that Spurs didn't sign a player for 18 months). Given that the purse strings are notoriously tight at Arsenal, I can see this being an impasse almost straight away.

It would be a shame, that. Pound-for-pound, I'd have Pochettino down as the best manager in the league.

I wouldn't say that as you are in totally different positions. They have a settled squad whilst you have to either find a system or bring big players in. Either way its a risk as Poch still needs to prove, to your expectations.

And wouldn't you know it Hodgson says VAR got it right disallowing Palaces first goal. Actually embarrassing from the prick. Hopefully gone won't be managing soon, surprised he still is the fuckin boot licker.

They used to say you can judge how strong a team is by looking at the bench. If that is the case the rags are shit, their bench is shit

Just back from the pub, I had forgot that the rags were playing (I only look at them now for comic relief). So I was surprised to find the pub full of the usual knobheads nursing a pint. I asked one if this was their new Derby, since City and Dippers were now out of reach, but not sure he followed me. Home now after a quick pint.

Listening to five live, blades fans treating this as a derby.

Even VAR can’t cover for Jones.

United are doing quite well, currently 5th on the table.

The rags are further down at 10th.

Rags have got to be happy at halftime, only one goal down.

This confirms var is bent, I have no sympathy with rags, but, if that was a foul on Lovren it was a foul on rubber face Jones.

Hopefully it will make the rags bring it up in the media though and kick up a fuss pointing out the two situations.
