We have no chance winning anything at this rate .

I wouldn't be blaming our defence, those 2 goals were excellent from the Toon. We had clear cut chances that somehow we fluffed, that was the issue.

Whilst we're still without our injured players we don't stand a chance.

New Year, players hopefully back, all out for the CL.

The thing that gets me is we dominate, then as soon as the opposition decide to apply pressure we capitulate. The defence can’t defend. We give up goals so fucking easily.

Really dont mind not winning the league after winning it 2 on the bounce, we cant win it every season.
But this 'defense' of the title is just meek. We have handed it to them, and now it really looks were fighting for 2rd or even 3rd.

Just can not see us winning anything this season.

This was it. Scouse won the league.

I understand there is no motivation, but we really are a joke at times.

Two goals conceded against the worst attacking team in the league. Couldnt hold lead for more than 5 mins....twice.

Shambolic.

Write off the league and give garcia and whoever else some time.

Dave Silva is prob our greatest ever player but hes been awful this season. Phil foden hasnt played a combined 90 mins this season in the league, time for that to change.

What happened to us applying pressure to get the ball back? Where is the hunger?
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry Beefy but the Shelvey goal was shocking defending by us. Maybe not the defence as such but there is only one reason a player like Shelve is standing where he is and not one player saw danger before he got played in. If Rodri had been alert at all he would have went and stood on him.
Fernandinho at the back is the reason we are where we are just now. The midfield is lacking, the back four exposed and can't cope with it. Pep needs to throw off his stubbornness and play either Otamendi or Garcia at the back and let Fernandinho do what he does. And Silva has had his time, he's done now sadly and Foden should be getting a lot more time on he pitch.

And the reason, we are constantly playing a makeshift defence, including defensive screen.

We can complain all we want but losing Kompany, Stones and Laporte had us in real trouble. Stones still doesn't look what he once was and Ota has been gone for a while, leaving us with no real established CB. Pair that with Rodri just getting into his stride in the league, then injured, I'm amazed we're at least still within a chance.

That's not down to the defence, that was down to other players switching off or the tactics we adopt.

You all have to accept that Baldie will NOT PLAY Foden or Garcia apart from some cameos - he is a stubborn fucking cunt who has been SHIT this season so far...absolute shit hes been.

We are deservedly where we are.

Last season Bernardo and Silva made up for losing de Bruyne. Incredible performance without our best player from the previous season. This season we lose Laporte and there is no replacement. He leaves a huge hole in the team which cant be filled. Our performances have suffered and its not surprising.
