100%. So many mystery fouls on us for good tackles won. Blatantly obvious he was trying to get the rags back in the game. Especially when Rodri got his ankle cleated and a foul was called against us

Love beating that club. Bernardo and Fernandinho were really good today.
Sterling needs to get back in form ASAP.

Pep got it spot on with the lineup.

Probably best if everybody waited to see how it pans out before assessing that with panicked hysteria in the first page of the match thread - every single week!!

Didn't Pep get it wrong literally a few weeks ago against the rags? Or does he not make mistakes?

He does- just not very many.
He certainly didn't make one last night despite a lot on this board thinking he had before the game.

I'm sure anyone that questioned the lineup and starting the game without a striker is happy to admit they were wrong.

I feel if he’d have played a striker instead of Sterling we would have won 6-1 again

Agreed. But I still think he shouldn't have sold Kolarov.

So PeP got it right with Sterling did he ? He got it right with Mendy who, by a stroke of fuckign luck, with his constant fuck ups never got punished!

Why don't we just scrap the match thread !!!!

Mate , I admitted on this match thread that PeP had got his tactics right and I held my hands up (Unlike some gimps who are incapable of holding their dicks , let alone their hands up when they are wrong ) but what he didn't get right was leaving sterling on the pitch and having that lump of shit at right back . The problem with some cunts on here , especially Doug the fuckign ladder climber, is that they come on here after the match thread then have a pop at fans who actually contribute in the fuckign match thread - its a fuckign match thread for fucks sake ...reactionary comments are part and parcel of the match thread.

Yeah I agree. It's a match day thread. Coming on afterwards, when 99% of the fans said that line up was wrong, to be like "Haha told you it was right! I'm a better fan than you" makes people look silly.

Take a step back all of you.

We won 3-1 in the swamp and we could had won 7-1. We are a bit disappointed.

Fuck me. Do you understand how much we progressed? Being a bit upset of the score it means City reached a level close to perfection. If being upset we crushed the cunts only with this score is not a sign of progress I don't know what else is.

I am super glad I am a bit gutted.

We are blessed.

Also the reactions Tyler had at our goals ...
Hope he leaves us soon.

nottsblue wrote:We will see after the game whether the team selection was the right call. As of now I have very serious doubts. No recognised goalie or forward? What the fuck is that about

We won the game so on the one hand Pep got it spot on. Certainly first half we battered them. But had we played a recognised forward might we be today lording it over the rags even more so because we smashed them for 6 or 7 as we possibly would've done?

Equally, we have played a lot of football in the last four weeks with a lot more to come and maybe resting the forwards will benefit us more in the longer run as they should be fresher. Also maybe he had faith in Sterling coming good and was hoping for a goal or two from him to boost his confidence. Of course that didnt quite pan out, but that isn't the managers fault if a player misses his shots.

Overall, if you'd had said before the game we'd win 3-1, I'd have took that every time so i am a very happy camper

Worth giving them a goal to keep him there a bit longer.

I think that’s how Pep seen it as well ;-)
