The ball was on but the execution was fucking lazy and exactly typical of Mahrez. And what about the one where he got the ball on his left foot but cut it back with his right, the only time he doesn't do the obvious thing and it's cost us a goalm

Corners in general we are appalling at. No work must go on them training. Or free kicks.

Fuck of with all the social media videos and fannying about and just spend some time on set pieces at both ends of the park. We're shit at attacking and defending set pieces.

Should be docked a month’s pay for that. And Gündogan wasn’t in a card, was he? He should have taken one for the team instead of letting Zinch deal with it.

I’d refund all the fans that went to watch that. And take it out of the players wages. Cunts.

I've given up commenting on here about the corners situation, 3 probably 4 seasons ago now, we were leading scorers from corners in the whole league (by some considerable amount iirc).
Now teams are more than comfortable channelling our players and conceding corners because they are more confident about breaking themselves than us scoring from our own corner's!!
Beyond a joke.
As for penalty takers, an extra 10 minutes a day would not go a miss surely (excuse the pun).

Sometimes the right ideas are just staring you in the face aren’t they!
It’s just basic football.

Until 70 mins they had not had a shot Mase, no fan would be thinking anything but surely we will take one chance FFS of the 18. W e do this, QPR away, scum lose we have the chance to close the gap. 80% possession they 1 shot we lose. This is City under Booby or Pep, as for the Corner its Steve Daley at the swamp.

Fantastic if you think about it.
Under Mancini we were the most dangerous team in the league when it came to set pieces. Statistically, not based on bollocks.
No other league team scored more than us in 2011-2012.
Now, we usually score 1-2 goals from set pieces in the whole season. Dreadful if you think we score almost + 150 goals/season under Pep.

And yet we have won more corners than any team in the PL this year, 208. If we only scored 5% that would be 10 goals from corners.

all comes back to the main point that i make in the finishing thread in that we’re not ruthless enough in front of goal. there is an expectation that we’ll score which means that chances, which are much rarer for other teams, don’t carry the same importance for us... because we create so many...

Apart from Agüero - no one else would score half the goals they have done for any other team, they miss so many .
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

I wonder if Sanè had taken that corner would he have been dragged off straight away by Pep?
