Just remember this and it is very relevant at this time. All of those Scousers getting on "Have your Say" on the Beeb, or in the press getting on about City oil Club, emptyhad etc. Every day , every week giving loads of neck about Oil city -thought they had it all signed,sealed and delivered.

I kind of get one of the players' points about this - they want to have some measure of control over where the money goes when they give it up - can you imagine Ashley at Newcastle being altruistic and handing over a 50% saving (or whatever they agree to) on first team wages to the NHS? Because it will be the clubs that benefit first from any saving. The players were apparently trying to set up a 'pot' that they pay into with the proceeds going to the NHS and some other good cause (I think it might have been research) before that cunt of an MP chimed in with his bandwagon comments riding public opinon like the greasy little shit that he is.

You’re exactly right and the reality somehow seemed to be lost in the clammed to get at football players. Clubs should not be making a profit from this and if the players want to donate part of their wages, a charitable donation, then that’s what should happen.

Wouldn’t surprise me to find our players have something in place already.

You can hardly attribute his views to a fear of missing out on accrued appearance/goal bonuses if the season is declared null-and-void. It's very odd for him to come out with this.

Just watching daily briefing, 980 people sadly died past 24 hours, yet football elite still talking about playing behind closed doors to finish the season. How callous, you know what fans should tell the fuckers to play all future games behind closed doors.

They are quiet clearly treating the fans with complete disdain, perhaps the fans should return the compliment.

The Irish government have issued a statement saying the lockdown will continue until 5th May minimum, I suspect we will follow this given that part of the UK (Northern Ireland) borders the Republic.

Surely the sensible action to take is to void this season and plan for the next season, otherwise two seasons will be affected instead of just one.
