A good point raised towards the end is that matches behind closed doors could be financially ruinous for lower league clubs. Also the suggestion that there is no non-league football until 2021, which is entirely possible.

In summary what UEFA seem to want is:

Completion of Champions League/Europa by end August behind closed doors
Completion of domestic top level leagues by end August behind closed door
Start of next season in September behind closed doors

The ECL, non-league and FA Cup aren't really covered by that, although of course if ECL want promotion to PL they would have to have completed by start of new PL season.

Totally agree. Forever a City fan but I now have zero interest in the game, be it organised by UEFA or PL, or FIFA of course. (You guys and gals are OK though!)

I'm with you - I couldn't care less if we sold the whole squad right now and didn't get to watch football again this year - I couldn't give 2 fucks what Raheem sterling or any other of our players are doing or thinking about....not interested one iota.

i naively hoped VAR would be used as a tool to stop all the shite reffing decisions but it basically destroyed football for me, add to that, there was too many games, add in the fifa/UEFA/media campaign to fuck us over, and even on our own side I am disappointed that we don’t blood youngsters in the league cup as their is pressure on pep to win all trophies - I certainly won’t be like I was before about it when it does come back

I for one am missing football and can’t wait for its resumption. Though what it will be like will be interesting to see. I don’t think it will just go back to the way it was. I can see more cost cutting measures and the days of superstars on superstar wages coming to an end. It will of course, still be 11 V 11, and the playing of the game with skill, tactics and everything else that goes into making it the beautiful game will still be prevalent. But I can certainly see a change in the way clubs are run and administered

Slight change of rhetoric from UEFA this morning in a statement basically saying all major leagues in Europe need to have plans of how to restart the current season in place by May 25th . Now that just reads “plans” that is a definite step back from previous UEFA statements , maybe the scientists and health people have had a word ?
