I’m starting to come around to this being the best option.

Only we can catch them, so City can play kingmakers, while at the same time everyone will fundamentally understand, from now until the end of time, that it is not a real title. The hollowest possible “victory,” which also robs them of the chance to play the victim.

This is my prefered option too, of the 30 seasons they have failed to win the league, this is the worst season to win it. Have it, no mass celebration. no week-long media love in, no 100 points and a big asterisk next to their title.

Them not winning the league this year would be their Munich, we'd never hear the end of it and it would be turned into a sob story for commercial purpose and no doubt create a whole new fanbase overseas.

If the season is null and voided, I'll be annoyed we don't get the chance to win the FA Cup and Champions League when there is nothing to fear, I'll also be wary that due to the likely lack of transfer activity this summer, they'll still have a better team than us. Deny them this year and they become the housewifes fav that everyone will cheer on and the media narrative will be sickening.

With fuck all else to do the last few days I have been following the PL and media associated statements on social media about the situation in England . It has become obvious a propaganda campaign is in full flow to get the PL season “finished “ and help the bin dippers to the title , the PL released the “Project restart “ campaign but that only lasted a few days as only the bin dippers and Leeds Utd fans were in favour and quite frankly it had zero legs anyway with all the science and health reasons making any “restart” impossible. I would be interested to know what the PFA stance is and if they have done any sort of poll with the players and if they would be willing to risk playing and then have no holiday as by time it's finished it will be time for them start next season which cannot start late due Euros next summer.
