Matches you remember fondly

Obviously title and cup wins stick out for everyone, but while there’s no footy I’ve been watching highlights of old games and some I’ve no memory of. Others will never leave for one reason or another. So which ones stick in your memory that might not be that big of a deal to most?

4-2 against Bolton when Etuhu I think got his first goal?
West Ham opening day under Sven. That Elano change of pace for the opener is etched in my mind.
3-0 v Arsenal and that Robinho chip.
City 3-2 charlton. Was my first league game in about 15 years on my first trip back.

5-1 v Swindon.
3-2 (I think) against Norwich when Tiatto got sent off in the first half.

From memory, both were in 01/02 under Keegan when we were Harlem Globetrotting through Division 1.

I think for me it's the first City - United derby I went. 4-1, Macken and Sinclair were fantastic that day.

Love also 6-3 versus Arse because I almost missed the game, my flight home and at half time went live via audio skype with the local sports radio where I had a collab at that time, near the bathroom, while a fella was spitting his lungs out for too much drinking, while his pals where singing fuck you Wenger.

What I miss is not having the chance to go on Maine Road.

Hamburg at home for the second leg when we went out. Unreal atmosphere. Every player gave 110% Elano ran the show. Big Phil was a bulldozer upfront.

From when I was a kid it was when we played Forest in 94 and it finished 3-3 the match was so up and down and they scored an equaliser right near the end. It gave me a taste of what was to come supporting City.

Walsall away when "El" Mel Machin was manager. We went 0-2 down then Andy Dibble did his groin. Nigel Gleghorn, the left winger, went in net. We scored 3 to go 3-2 up, including the third maybe five seconds after Walsall kicked off for the second half. City fans behind the goal were talking with Nigel Gleghorn, who seemed a top bloke. Sadly a bad back-pass gifted Walsall an injury time equaliser.

Funny as fuck now. Fine entertainment.

Chesterfield away in the 3rd division was one of the weirdest. Early kick off and all the boozers closed. There was a standing home section to our right and all their fans went down to the other end of the stand to watch them attacking our goal and swapped back at half time. Some knob had a Munich top on and his mate was rubbing the badge. From memory, I think(?) Lee Crooks scored a worldy to equalise for us.

Yes me too. A group of us joined their membership scheme about 6 months before, reasoning, 'what's the odds we'll need to get something at Bradford on the last game of the season?'
Turns out it was a great decision. They phoned and asked me why I was applying for a membership card when living near Manchester. I said my dad had moved with his job.
They were really good about it and if I remember correctly they automatically renewed my membership the following season I think!!!!!!!!
Come to think of it I was a Bradford City member for about 3 years after that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're spot on, just watched it on youtube. I'd have lost the house on us being sat down in the away end. Stewart hat trick Whitey with the other ending a run of 35 away games without a win at top of the table bradford

Best atmosphere I ever experienced

City 3-2 at home to Sunderland in the last game of the 1990/91 season when we finished above the rags in the league for the first time in years. Sunderland needed to win to have a chance of avoiding relegation and brought thousands of fans with them creating a cracking atmosphere

White with the last minute winner got us 5th place ahead of the rags in sixth
