Manchester City have enjoyed some major successes on the field in recent years but arguably this is the biggest of the lot.

They didn't cheat the system in order to put their brilliant squad together - and they are not banned from Europe.

They did fail to co-operate with the initial inquiry - but as they believed it was flawed and prejudiced in the first place, I don't think a 10m Euro fine is going to bother them too much.

To be honest, I'm amazed we were fined for this. We were asked to provide documentation to supplement information that was illegally obtained, in order to prove our innocence. This could set a really, really bad precedent for other clubs if we don't appeal against it or rules/procedures are put in place for how UEFA can request documentation to alleviate their suspicions. Otherwise, they can just pick on clubs willy-nilly (I'd hazard a guess it would be newcomers to their party more often than not) and ask for whatever they feel like, whenever they feel like.

Never in doubt! Just wrote this message to a Spurs supporting mate:

I am not going to go in to details but I knew that we would be vindicated. The witch hunt by other clubs has been nothing short of disgusting (think of who was on the investigating body i.e. the former chief executives of Liverpool and United) and it tells you exactly what you need to know. I will even include Rumenigge and Hoeness from Bayern (convicted fraudsters) and that horrible piece of work Tebas from Spain who had ulterior motives in seeing us punished. And before I get other fans saying that we are still "guilty" because the fine is still in place although reduced, that is because we failed to fully co-operate with UEFA and their "investigation". Would you fully co-operate with a corrupt and borderline criminal organisation? I rest my case and it was the only verdict that a fair and just review body could come up with. Over the Blue Moon!

I’m glad they’ve fined us for that - it clearly shows the only thing we were guilty of was not cooperating with corrupt organisation.

The nutters on RAWK are taking it as well as you might expect...

The beginning of the end for FSG. We won't be able to compete and we can't expect Klopp to produce miracles forever.

At least we got a title. City will continue to mop up domestically.

I’m taking it as a good sign.

Indeed.

But what is the reasoning behind delaying the announcement? Surely if the CAS has reached a decision, is this not binding with no further recourse for appeal? And as both parties have apparently signified the outcome was acceptable, what is the need to keep the outcome secret for another month?

I am wondering if it’s anything to do with the conclusion of the season and who gets the coveted CL spots and how this seasons CL pans out

If both parties have accepted the outcome then that can only mean we are guilty of ''not cooperating'' but not guilty of anything else.....maybe a small fine for the former.

Would be the best outcome.

Next time you lot have a question...just ask CARL for fucks sake!!! and we can save all the worry... !!!
