Just heard today Gary Shaw has died aged 63. Gary played for Villa when they were champions & European Champions too. Always thought he was fine football player. RIP Gary

Saw that he'd had a fall last week - or end of the previous week? Part of a very good villa team that I remember well. As you say, won the European cup as well. A tidy striker in his day and sad to see him pass at no age RIP

Gary Shaw was a great player. That Villa side were fantastic. Mortimer in midfield, Morley on the left. They were a brilliant watch.

Have said this before, growing up, the best english sides i saw were the Forest, Villa and that everton side prior to Heysel. None of those sides in those days had the £ to compete with Liverpool so I discount them - good though they were. Sorry Gary putting scousers in your memorial thread

Decent player in his time and sadly gone way too early as well. He lived the dream we all had of winning the league and European Cup with his local side. RIP
