I'm starting to run out of ways to praise this guy. Have we had as influential signing as this in the last few decades?

I think it's safe to say that without him we'd be up shit creek :)

Let's just hope the rumour that he intends to move on to Spain when his contract expires is a load of rubbish. This might be why Bobby made him captain, not only because he's likely to be the 2nd name on the teamsheet, after Joe Hart, and to show him how much he is valued, especially as it was Sparky who signed him. Obviously Bobby doesn't want to make the same mistake as Taggart and make him feel unloved by his manager.
If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs, it's just possible that you haven't really grasped the gravity of the situation.

There is no way in he'll hart is the 1st name on the sheet. It took all off season to decide for bobbo.
Tracking back is overrated.

Pretty sure he won't be in two minds now though. I think it's safe to assume Joe is one of the first names picked.

I'm being pedantic I guess, but he's never 1st name is he? There is nobody challenging carlitos spot he is 1st name every single week.

Can't fault the chap at all, his work rate and tracking back is excellant. The only thing that kind of niggles me slightly is his English. Four years in the Prem and still using translator. The man needs to watch back to back Corrie.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

Niggles??? Mate. If he keeps burying Chelsea and the Scum with goals like Saturday's, he can take a vow of silence, send Morse code through an Iambi Paddle, or I'll pay to have my Cajun friend teach him to speak in Creole French!!
Ever since the World Cup, he's proved himself a world class competitor more valuable to us than Shrek or Berbatov is too the Scum. Yeah. I said Berbatov!

Yes, but the worrying thing is that we are overreliant on him going forward. When he has off day, like against Blackburn and in Sunderland, we are absolutely toothless going forward.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

This is the next thing that needs sorting quickly. We need to start creating more from the whole team but also get more attacking players onto the pitch v the lesser teams & find out exactly what we've got in the squad & whether we need to sign someone in Jan. It's one thing playing that system v Chelsea but another entirely using it v Blackburn at home. I'd also like to see Guidetti get a few chances from the bench because his style & attitude suits everything Mancini is trying to do.

I have been saying this for a while, that we are relying heavily on Carlito. I would say that he doesn't tend to have many off days, and Sunderland was more down to him being off the pace in general at the start of the season than anything else. Now he is there-a-bouts up to speed we will see a pretty consistent Tevez. However with the midweek games also it is still kind of unfair and unwise to be so reliant on Carlos, he should have a rest to be at his best. So yes the crux of the matter is we need to have another set up imo that is just as potent as what we have now. Two things imo, One that Ade has to decide to play his guts out and get into the team and Second maybe on the back of that we need to have a set up with Milner in the middle calling the shots and Ade and or Balotelli in front of him.
Until Bobby gets his FBs online and maybe Mario back i can see him playing it cautiously and keeping Milner out wide.. unfortunately.

An occupational hazzard when you rely on 1 player in a system so much like Mancini's system does on Carlos.
If Tevez plays well, we win. If he plays poorly, we dont.
If he's not there at all, its lottery time.
Not good.

Could we get Top 6 without him? i'm not so sure really. Can anyone recall our pts haul from when he had to fuck off to Argentina to deal with his sick child? i remember feeling like the season was lost because of it, but hindsight is, as they say, asshole vision. Anyone recall the actual facts of the matter in terms of when he left/returned and our pts totals?
cheers

Drew 1-1 with Stoke in the FA Cup, then drew 1-1 with Stoke again but in the league, then drew 0-0 with Liverpool, got beaten 3-1 at Stoke in the Cup replay. So no wins. Then he came back and we beat Chelsea 4-2, Wigan 3-0, Burnley 6-1, Birmingham 5-1 and Fulham 2-1. Lost to Everton though.
Case closed I reckon.

Jesus. we're mid-table without him. A transfer window later from those reults tho and a few more players might provide better balance, but it doesn't seem so with all our current injuries. Fragile.
