Fesan, I read it and will try to give more than a smart-arsed response. (Apart from the one comment that, as a City fan, you should really know how to spell LOSE....we fucking do it often enough!)
Firstly I don't think you are far off the barometer of most fans there. You certainly had me nodding along at this: "After tonights game I thought to myself that I cannot find one reason to watch the game anymore except the fact that City is my team. Like many others have said I am filled more by worry and fear than exitement and joy when we play, does not matter if it is Chelsea away or Wigan at home I feel like we are gonna lose it each time because that is the way we are set up... to MAYBE win it with some luck."
I want Mancini to get it right much more than I want him sacked. To be honest though it has to be said that not wanting him sacked is more to do with wanting to avoid another year of treading water and fucking re-building than having any great belief in his approach or ability.
He was sold to us as some kind of tactical genius by many on here prior to him becoming manager. Even Carlo Ancelotti was saying in the paper yesterday that Mancini is very clever tactically.
Honestly, I cannot see it and I cannot be alone:
What has he got right?
- Playing Joe Hart as number one and getting him fully settled, smart move and one that has worked
- Good form and performances from Micah Richards and Joleon Lescott again
- Buying David Silva
What has he got wrong?
- The system with no width whatsoever when you have not just one but two aerially adept centre forwards
- Getting rid of (and not using prior to that) Bellamy and Adebayor
- Playing Adam Johnson on the bench, not at all or on the wrong side
- Refusing to play James Milner centrally in the face of incontrovertible evidence that he is not a winger, cannot deliver quality balls from wide, that Barry has no pace at all and Milner can play his position, that Yaya is blowing out of his fucking arse and needs a rest.
- Cautious fucking shite tactics against every single decent side we come up against. I know he's not versed in Typical City but fuck me does he not have enough evidence that we are not very good at grinding out 0-0 or holding onto a 1-0 lead yet.
- Aleksander Kolarov.....I see nothing whatsoever in the lad. He is Lee Bradbury-esque at present.
Where has he been fortunate
- Carlos Tevez, Vincent Kompany and Nigel de Jong whose form has propped us up IMO
If we could sign Mourinho with any type of certainty that he'd take over as he did from Ranieri and just drive us forward then I'd be happy to say Ciao to Roberto. But I can just see too many changes needed if he came as certain (expensive) players are not his types of player. I can see him falling out with someone like Tevez too....something unexpected that would fuck us up.
In relation to the rest...I have only one comment. Owen Coyle?? Give over
