Perhaps there's something wrong with the vocabulary we use when watching football? A team can have many weaknesses but because football is what it is, a fluent sport with much random elements included, it's not big problem unless they become too many.
I don't know if I've expressed this opinion before but it seems that most teams, actually, have large weaknesses. In one aspect or the other. But the terms and expectations we have for top flight top teams are so skewed that when we actually see them play, match per match, the real version of Manchester United or Real Madrid just doesn't hold up.
Just a thought, which I'm more and more inclined to believe the more I see and hear what people have to say about their own team, be they Dortmund or City supporters, or other teams. It can't all be bias towards rivals or negativity against one's one team, I think there's a flaw in the language we use about football. Or something like it at least. I don't know.
