Some pretty crap foreign "strikers" being banded about and linked to us by the rag media lately ! Whoever we do bring in it is without doubt they will need to come up with 20 goals plus next season if we are to challenge for titles and trophies and if Aguero gets injured again or has an iffy season ........ well .........
Not really here

I don't think any of them are 'crap' tbh. They are mostly all of a similar recent standard in their relevant leagues, to the players we have, & the big money strikers we have been stalking.

None will replace Tevez, but I've given up on that idea now. Yopu can't replace Tevez, so no point in worrying about it.

I'm not sure I would be happy with Fred. Doesn't seem the type of player that would thrive in the PL. I think he would be another Robinho.

Gomez though, whatever people say about him, would get goals and perhaps reach 20 a season.

Negrado seems to be decent, but I'm not sure he would get 20+ goals a season.

Cardozo I think would be similar to Negrado. Decent, but 15-20 goals a season.

Cardoza and Fred would be very disappointing signings.Negrado and Soldado are both decent but would not be an improvement.Gomez is a goal machine he easily the best of the names being mentioned by the media.

Higuiain . Probably not cheap. But Ardiles rates him ; so does Wenger. He'll combine well with Aguero

But apparently Pellegrini doesn't , we are not even linked to him in news. Pepe is being talked about but not Higuain.

If you do appreciate him, its Higuain !!

There was a passing snub by Lewandowski, the more I looked into what people thought and some videos I think we should be out for him. And it'd piss the rags off, which I always enjoy.

He's my favourite option as well.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Here's a short, half-assed comparison between Lewandowski and Higuaín:

Lewandowski:

24 years old
6 ft tall
54 goals in 98 games for Dortmund (.55 goals/game)
17 goals 53 games for Poland
Seems to be a quicker version of Dzeko. As in quicker touches and quicker to pass or shoot. Comfortable in the air, gets on headers, lots of chest controls. Passes to teammates often. Powerful and direct in play and shooting. Huge reason why Dortmund went reached the CL final last year.
Quality of youtubes: 7/10

Higuaín:

25 years old
6 ft tall
107 goals in 187 games for Madrid (.57 goals/game)
20 goals in 32 games for Argentina
Incredible touch and very tricky to defend in the box. Can wiggle away from people with quick feet. Good shot from long range shot and curls the ball from outside the box well (like AJ used to). Likes to chip the keeper with a little flick. Was leading scorer and vice captain for a top 3 club in the world.
Quality of youtubes: 9/10

Personally, I think both would be a great addition but Higuaín would fit into our team and link up with existing players better (a bit more skillful and tricky). Lewandowski would be a good option for quick transitions, just like Dortmund play. Also not that it really matters, but Higuaín would probably be at least 30% cheaper.

Not bad for a half arsed comparison.

Definitely agree on Higuain. Would have him in the side any day of the week and can't understand why we wouldn't be in for him tbh. Relatively young with bags of experience, Argentinian (link well with Serge up top) and wouldn't be overly expensive. FFS if he goes to Arse then we've dropped a bollock IMO.

Mid 30s I would reckon. He was brilliant at Villareal and Atletico but he did not look nearly the player at inter and the goals all but dried up for him.I don't think he is scoring in Brazil either. It's a no for me.

How about we try to get Kevin gamero from psg for 10 mil? From what little I've seen he seems to score a few as a sub...
