that is a very scary postMike J wrote:i acually met gareth barry last weekend, he was back in hastings (his hometown) for the weekend. Naturally i asked him about the tevez thing. his exact words were 'carlos refused to warm up because he had just been doing that'. also said that since the summer they have pretty much hated each other.
nothing new but thought id mention it. oh and by the time he left he was absoluely hammered, he was buying alot of drinks! (for the whole bar)

Tevez has become public enemy No. 1 since the incident, with Premier League fans and managers united in their support for City.
But Barcelona midfielder Mascherano, who courted controversy with Tevez when the pair made a shock move to West Ham from Corinthians in 2006, has defended his compatriot - insisting that City owe him a debt of gratitude for what he has brought to the team over the past two seasons.
"Carlitos has done so much for Man City that I think it is so ugly what they are doing to him now," Mascherano is quoted as saying in The Sun. "I can't believe what is going on.
"Everyone attacks him even when he can't defend himself. It is so unfair. But England is a complicated place because when something like this happens everyone attacks you."
And there he goes, the idiot friend that surprise us everytime.

What's the point in putting so much time and effort into trying to end his career which will ultimately just be a disruption? Just sell him in January and end the matter.

Easy to say when you're living in a different country, rather than up the motorway. No surprise that Tevez should have a coward for an ally.

The man was the most influential player to have donned the shirt in 30 years, played a huge part in our cup win, our CL qualification and our league position, almost certainly, the biggest part.
We all know the man has an ego the size of a planet and has proven in the past that he needs to be the focal point of a squad and to play week in week out if you want to see him athis absolutely sensational best......
But what now?
He never did well fighting for a place at scum, he doesn't really look that interested, he doesn't look like the man who had every one from the sheik downwards bending over backwards to placate his every whim, we have happily moved forward
I think this is the end, I'm gobsmacked, but also so relieved that actually, the club is bigger
I would love to see him just fight for his place and prove that he is just a brilliant top 10 world footballer, but I don't think so, he hasn't got the back bone
