Ah say no more.

Funny though how it comes out now after Ned doesn't get his move away.

It's a Soccer AM moment all over again, I'm not saying that I condone ill treatment of the ill but this stinks of a PR stunt given it was allegedly over a year ago when it happened yet it's coming out now.

All very strange indeed.

Dr Onuoha sent an email to Marwood and copied in Cook. Cook sees Marwood's name on the email and assumes that his colleague has FORWARDED him an email from Dr Onuoha. He hits reply (not reply to all) thinking he's sending his quip to Marwood, but he's actually replying to the original sender, Dr Onuoha.

If there's a perfectly innocent explanation, fair enough. But this looks like a colossal fuck up. I suspect, with some regret, that he's said "how are ya, brother?" for the last time.

With him being on holiday at the time, would have been sent via smartphone, which makes your theory even more beliveable

I agreed with the 1st part - I.e. 'reply all' bit - but (IMO) the rest is shallow and the stuff of redtops - those with an agenda against CITY.

The way to judge the likes of Cook and Marwood in terms of quality of performance is through the growth of CITY in line with FFP and wider interests - e.g. the regeneration

People seem to harp on about gaffes - especially the AC bottling it one. Frankly it is the sort of thick mentality of Sun / Mirror writers and those readers that simply accept what is written as fact.

Putting aside the fact that I personally applauded Cook for his bottling comment - err - sorry why should they get away with doing CITY down through blatant lies just because they are a (previously) big club? – that is little city mentality – At the end of the day he is doing an excellent job for CITY in the areas that are important – BUSINESS GROWTH

I think that he has been trying to keep out of the headlines recently and this will have been a disappointment .

Daft thing for him to type – and he needs slapped wrists for it (I and I am sure others have made similar silly mistakes).

But look beyond that and ask:

a) Why is the representative of a footballer writing into Man City and going on about their personal illness – what sort of crude emotional blackmail is that??

b) The timing – like others I see the hand of Kia at work here – what I would criticise Cook for is allowing a situation to continue where this man has influence over our players – needs to be done carefully but surely people can know that to use such a person as agent means goodbye! – just restrict it to Tevez and (now) Ned

c) Could this be an attempt to get Ned’s contract paid up with KIA having a place for him to go – win-win for Ned and Kia

CITY fans should be (IMO) against anything that disrupts the momentum and unity of the club

Glad someone else brought that up- this is one of the things that struck me about the letter. If you're well enough to conduct business, you're well enough. If not, get someone else to conduct it. Although it's poor form by Cook to (accidentally) reply in this way, I get the feeling that Mrs/Dr Onouha may have been over-emphasising her illness in negotiations, provoking such a remark from Cook to (intended for) Marwood.

However, for him to lay the blame at someone else's feet is very, very poor form. He should accept he made a mistake and apologise. I, for one, don't have any respect for someone who weasels their way out of a situation by lying, and I doubt people who are more senior at the club will, either.

I don't blame her for being angry. The "ravaged" word is an obvious reference to the content of an earlier email from Nedum's mum. If Nedum was at a school, and the senior staff were saying such things about a pupils mum, then people would expect sackings.

As for her response, it may seem over the top, but that's irrelevent.

As for the timing, let's put it another way. City have had 11 months to resolve the matter to Dr. Onouha's satisfaction and it seems they haven't. If they have and Custis is flying an out of date kite, then I would expect some comment from either City or Nedum's mum. Failing that, if someone had done that to me I'd let it out in such a way to cause the maximum effect.

If Cooke's email account has been hacked by another member of staff, I would expect them to be sacked - after all, what would happen to any of us if we hacked our boss's email account and sent embarassing messages?

And if Cooke did send the message, it looks like he's compounded the offence by falsely saying that his account had been hacked. You'd expect a government minister to go.

Sorry Gary, it's not looking good.

Maybe Cooke and Marwood had questioned her ability to represent her son?

The more I think about this the less sense it makes. I've seen Ned's mother interviewd on TV. She was intelligent, articulate and came across as someone with strong morals and someone who could think for herself.

This getting leaked to the sun and emblished with comments such as "it was the worst day of my life, even worse than being diagnosed with cancer" and ""I just cried and cried for hours" just doesn't fit the individual.

I can understand Joorabchian having influence over young lads chasing a fortune but to discover that a mature, intellectual women has gone to a tabloid rag with this just doesn't add up. I think we'll find there is a lot more to this than meets the eye. I reckon there must be some serious beef between Ned and the club and that perhaps Joorabchian is 'advising' them on how to [strike]really stir the shit up[/strike] resolve it.

Please could someone confirm to me that these are the 'offending' words.......

"Ravaged with it!!......I don't now how you sleep at night. You used to be such a nice man when I worked with you at nike (sic)."

.....because if they are, why is this even a story? IMO they're a private message to Marwood and it's wholly justified sarcasm when taken in context of the Nedum situation. Why should anyone suffering from cancer enter into any type of negotiations? Unless it's the player, of course.

This is a non-story.
