the charlie mulgrew challenge on the ox (that led to the free kick that wooney scored from) was fucking shocking
the only difference between it and ben thatcher's challenge on pedro mendes was that mulgrew's elbow didn't connect properly with the ox's face

Nice easy win for England and probably showed the level at where Scotland are at the moment. I'm hopeful that this doesn't set the Jocks back and end up on a downhill slope for the rest of their qualifying.

Milner in central midfield - at last! Thought he had a decent game.

Decent Eng performance against what was rather poor opposition. At least it spares us a few weeks of Scots celebs & media types tub thumping in the press.

Chiles face was a picture, as if he had it all set for an England loss.

One thing I couldn't help was keeping an eye on the time that the Rags & Arse players were on the pitch. Why is it that I'm hoping the Rags get more game time with a chance of injury?

Well done England. I know it's only a friendly, but you played them at a high tempo and punished them when they made mistakes. England played decent football. You have players that can play football under pressure.
Thought the Scottish goal was good too, but Robertson should never have made it into the box without a challenge.

Sterling had only just come on when he let Robertson run past him and didn't bother tracking him, he must still be tired, the poor lad.

Found elsewhere on the web:-

"As Danny Welbeck limped around after a challenge last night, Alan Green said "Manchester United have had a terrible international break in terms of injuries ... what must Van Gaal think?"

And so bloody arrogant with it!!

In Clive Tyldesley's world of la la, Rooney - or perhaps "ROOOOOOOONEYYYYYYY" as Clive screams all the time - scored a hat-trick. Strangely I don't seem to be able to see that in todays papers.

The decision to only give a yellow for that brings match officiating into utter disrepute in my humble opinion.
I think that is one of the clearest red cards I've ever seen.
