Granted Mendy partying with tarts didn't help but neither has putting in Bernardo or converting Gvardiol, but he is getting better. He's now at it at RB. The whole desire line up is unsettled and he's swapping keepers for fun. He's always had a weakness for Gundo. Bought him originally injured then took 3 seasons of poor starts for him to do something. Only had 1 decent season when he scored the number of goals he should have. When he left his performances were slowing down. He did nothing in Spain and came back because Pep was panicking. As one pundit said about our recent Madrid collapse, Pep picked a side relying on misplaced belief in his old guard. New signings didn't get a look in. To me that shows a lack of confidence or ability to try something or someone new. His signings are moulded into his old way or style of playing, even pushing them away from the qualities that made them attractive. How many players have been messed with, scared off, yet done well at other clubs. Pep was once a leader, now, too frightened to be effective. Haaland will be off if we don't qualify for next year's CL, old guard will leave. The young players that remain are good enough to make another great team but Pep is not the man to do it. - unless he changes his style of playing. Boring highline tippy tappy has had its day
