There is also this...

MILAN , Aug. 12 - The passage of Mario Balotelli to City is imminent , perhaps a matter of hours. After days without much progress last night sides are considerably closer , and with the relaunch came from Manchester, now can not be ruled out imminent closure of the deal . Other new features are possible today because the phone Mino Raiola has remained hot until late evening. A first success has already been more than halved the gap between supply and demand (initially between 4 and 5 million ) and now seek to bridge the remaining gap . There is more optimism in the coming hours and a face -face meeting between the leaders , perhaps in the Milan offices of the Minister of Finance Inter Rinaldo Ghelfi , it is not impossible.

HURRY - Without admitting it, the two companies both want to close the deal : because Inter is looking for a replacement for Supermario ( Sculli , Giuseppe Rossi and Cassano have more chances to Kuyt and Forlan at this time : Yesterday at Appiano Gentile dt Branca, Benitez and his right arm Carboni made the point at dinner) , because the City would take the boy on the bench in Premier debut against Tottenham . Times begin to be restricted , but across the Channel have not lost hope despite some scathing comment : Balotelli called by the tabloids for Robinho flashes of class and breaks highlighted in National , betting agencies quoted even at 21 his win title scorer . Until late yesterday afternoon optimism was not long after the City has made an important step by sending a fax in Corso Vittorio Emanuele and now hopes to close to 28 million plus bonuses.

BIRTHDAY - Today Supermario celebrate his birthday (the same recurrence for Orlandoni ) as a gift and could wear the jersey of City . Not simpler , but even to exclude. Yesterday, the attacker has lived his day of relaxation after engagement with the national team with friends who are now thinking to distract him with a dinner of good wishes for his 20 years should be celebrated. Scheduled festivities also Concesio where parents are waiting , and thrilled to present Tuesday evening for the London debut in blue. After the long battle to obtain Italian citizenship for spouses Mario Balotelli happy to see them in training Prandelli was an incredibly satisfying feeling . The next step is the transfer across the channel , a step not just for families ready to leave not only their child.

If it wasn't for the fact that I've supported city for 40 odd years, I'd be completely certain this was done. Why is it that I still imagine myself switching on a telly at 2pm, staring, mouth open, at the tv screen, hot coffee dribbling down my chin as they announce "HEEES STAAAYYIIING!"

Sport.es (Barca's mouthpiece), also carried now by MD, are saying that there are negotiations on the Ibrahimovic, Robinho, Barca, City front. Aimed at City giving Robson a value that will allow Barca to not lose on the amortization of Ibrahimovic. Apparently Cook and Sandro Rosell are old negotiating buddies from his Nike days.

http://www.sport.es/default.asp?idpubli ... cio_PK=803

Cant be arsed to translate it all, but:

..........The strategy is the following: if the amortization of Ibrahimovic, who has 4 years left on his contract, between what is left to pay Inter and his annual salary is €55M, to put a figure as an example, we are talking about City giving Robinho a transfer value which, added to the salary the Brazilian will have in the next 4 years, will mean it turning out that FC Barcelona will not make a loss on Zlatanm, in fact quite the reverse.......

Clear as mud eh? Also all depends on the attitudes of Guardiola and Ibrahimovic himself.

As soon as I saw the word "amortization" it became much less clear than mud ;-)

Does anyone have a valid reason why the Balotelli transfer is taking so long; is it his agent or something? I can understand Milner because of the O'Neill saga, but Inter want rid and all parties are happy. So what's the fucking score?

sounds kosher.

The steak I mean.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

It looks like the transfer saga concerning Mario Balotelli is about to come to an end. Corriere dello Sport reports that Mario Balotelli is now extremely close to joining MCFC in a deal believed to be around the €28million mark plus bonuses:

"The transfer of Mario Balotelli to Manchester City is imminent, perhaps it will take only a matter of hours. After days without much progress, the sides are considerably closer to a deal after last nights discussions."
It is claimed that Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola has been extremely busy and Benitez is now resigned to losing the striker and instead wants the deal to be concluded as quickly as possible so a replacement can bought. Therefore, it looks like finally, after weeks and weeks of speculation and difference in evaluations a deal is to be concluded on SuperMario's 20th birthday that could see the Italian make his City debut in London on Saturday

Do you think that might be counter productive if we told everyone what we were doing especially if we were trying to fuck clubs over?
