No love lost for Germany but, fuck me, it’s a big call that has to be proved right.

After more than an hour no VAR evidence yet to overturn the onfield decision ball was out - the existing available pictures show all the ball is out of play.

You know me, all I want to see is a game that is officiated correctly, warts and all and I’ll accept a mistake. But this is overturning a decision with no evidence at all to back it up. I would rather see Germany out but not at the expense of integrity and against the rules of the game.

No wonder I can’t get into this WC and even though I’m trying, they’re ensuring that I will not follow this WC as I once would, but those to come.

FIFA have turned the WC into an over the hill Superstar adfest but the worst part for me on ITV is the Slippy G voiceovers for Hyundai

This is interesting if not necessarily right.

Anyone remember this happening at City v Everton in a league cup semi final?

Happy.
Oh and Martinez is a clown, hope he gets sacked.

He’s gone.

His contract was up at the end of the World Cup regardless of the results

Too much to hope he replaces Klipperty?

I don't recall any Germans rushing to inform the referee that Frank Lampard's shot off the bar was fucking miles over the line. What goes around comes around.

I see they’ve released a picture from an angle that looks like a bird flying over the goal line. Only took them 10 hours to master that, the fucking jokers.

That’s terrible. Proof that they can stop the footage and release a still from wherever they want to suit their agenda. We’ve seen it in the Prem where they’ve stopped the still a second earlier than when the ball was realised to make someone appear onside - they do it every week for Liverpool.

Germany are out because they lost to Japan. No controversy in that. They were just not good enough.

If you think this was karma and you are happy about the decision then I have no words .

It’s about corruption at the highest level - it’s not a mistake - it’s corruption and it was a disgusting decision .

I have not watched any live football apart from my huge mistake doing a u turn to watch that Micky mouse game against wales - I won’t repeat that mistake again .

I'm abousltely ecstatic the Krauts are out, justice or no justice. They can go fuck themselves. As for corruption, they are one of big nations and tournament favourites, I'm pretty sure lots of krauts work for FIFA, not sure why you think they would favour Japan over them?

If it was a mistake - and I didn't watch the match but have seen it once in real time and numerous stills of the incident, including one from overhead which looks like the ball is just about on the line - mistakes get made. Lampard's shot was not given and that was miles fucking clearer than last night's incident.

Also, I am not going to claim to be 100% impartial on this. The clue is in the name.

Manchester City would complete a full set of 5 centre-backs in the World Cup knockouts, should Switzerland advance later today

Interesting stat is that
