Hmmm - tricky one. Wigan are a N W club but shit support and chairman who is a total helmet. And up until last year the Rags totally steam-rollered them every season and yet they took plenty of points off us.
We always beat Villa and Toon and don't want big clubs like that to go.
It would be a dream if Stoke went. Don't mind Sunderland going tho. They've become a bogey team

The question was who do you think not who do you want, you fucking spanners. I put a lot of effort into that OP.

Your first mistake was starting an interesting football topic, your second was expecting it to not turn into a discussion about United.

Every year there's a side that thinks that they're safe and then drop like a stone towards the end. They don't always go down, but they still flirt with the drop. This year we seem to have a few that could fit that pattern. It's possible, though not very likely, that Wigan could overtake Swansea and finishin the top 10.

Sky must be loving it.

I think Norwich need to beat WBA. They don't want to be coming to us last day needing a win. We have averaged 5 per game against them since they came up. Wouldn't fancy their chances.

we'll beat Wba tomorrow and i have a feeling Chelsea will let spurs win , knowing that the Arse will drop to fifth and they must play Wigan .

if Sunderland don't win tonight i think they will go down

Stoke are 1-0 up! I hope Sunderland wins today though as it keeps hopes alive for Stoke being relegated.

But more on (original) topic, I think anyone who has reached 40 by now will be safe. I also agree with the OP that Wigan will not win both of their home games but I also wouldn't be surprised if four points for them would be enough! Especially Norwich are under huge pressure to win at home

It was on Charlie Adam. I think everyone apart from Stoke fans would have wished for that. Horrible cunt of a human being.

Looking at it again it was a fairly bad tackle but his Adam on hit shin pad. You can tell if a player is really hurt by how many times they role over after the tackle.

How does that work then? is it the less you roll, the less likely it is you were really hurt and the more you roll over, the more you are faking an injury? Just watched some La Liga during the weekend and nobody got hurt but I saw so much people rolling over I thought that's some sort of new craze like the harlem shake

edit: I do agree that it was kind of nice to see C.Adam was on the receiving end of such challenge.

If you've hurt yourself, you're only going to make it worse by rolling around a million times, especially if you've hurt your leg.
Footballers are ridiculously soft. Unless they are called Duncan Ferguson.

"Horror tackle". Fook off! 10 year ago would of been a free kick and that be the end of that, nice to see it happen to a stoke player though for once and not the other way round. Charlie adam is a class a thug anyway.

Perhaps some of us find it impossible to tell which teams will actually face the drop but just like to blabber on and have random words coming out of our keyboards? Have you ever though about that?

I for one liked the reserach by ADTV but could not get my head around which teams will survive and which team will join Reading and QPR. It's like thinking about day light savings; just can't get my head around whether or not the sun will rise earlier or later after you turn the clock forward one hour. Honestly I don't think anyone can, it's just too hard.

I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

The one bit of class on the field. Perhaps he needs a relegation struggle to apply himself

I'm going to go for Norwich. At most, they're gonna get one point at our ground as we might play some fringe players because we've already attained second place. Wigan will win their two home fixtures.

If they (Wigan) do, then Villa will be in big trouble unless they beat Chelsea.

If Norwich beat West Brom, Chelsea beat Villa and Wigan beat Swansea and Villa, then Villa will almost certainly go down.

The only things that could save them would be:

a) Newcastle failing to beat either QPR (a) or Arsenal (h), or

b) Sunderland failing win either of their final two games, against Soton (h) and Spurs (a).

It's entirely possible that Saints will lose their final two games (S'land [a], Stoke [h]) and go down, but Wigan wouldn't still need five points from their last three games and I just can't see them getting more than four.

As a relegation-threatened team, the last two teams I'd want to face on the final day are Arsenal and Spurs.
