I think City are Targeting 2nd place or above. We're just not making a song and dance about it . So the Media can't F*ck us over.

I agree and I think the next 4 games are when we need to 'Make Hay', as they say. Let's get this 'Money' tag off our backs and go out and stuff Hughes' team down the media's throat.

D'accord !

Would be nice to get a great result tomorrow and jump ahead of the Rags based on their defeat today :-))

I don't really care what they tell the media but City certainly haven't been playing like a side who's targeting top 2. Which of the sides doing that would play for a draw at home v rags? This shows what utter bullshit the people who are comfortable with the last 2 results are talking.

Spurs have now been Away to Utd & Arsenal & have 2 more points than we got in the home games. They've also been to Stoke & won. They have 3 forwards & two midfielders who score goals, so can win any game even when they're struggling. This is a big week for us & if we fuck it up, we'll be relying on one of the other sides to have a poor 2nd half of the season. Otherwise, because of the way the fixtures pan out, we may find ouselves having to win at 2 or 3 of the games at OT, Anfield, Stamford Bridge, The Emirates & Goodison in the latter stages.

No more bullshit, play to win & I mean to fucking win EVERY GAME.

I think this is what we want to be hearing Ted:

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp: "It's a fantastic achievement. To come back showed great character. We were either going to get beat 5-0, or have a go. That's what we did because that's my nature. I've said to my players that we can beat anybody. This has put us right back in the [title] race again. It's wide open. If the players believe in themselves as much as I believe in them, we can do anything."

Yep, I don't like Rednapp as a person but he knows what to say and how to motivate players unlike this comment from our manager which isn't looking so likely all of a sudden:

Manager Living In Fear wrote:"Chelsea will win the title easily. For me, it will be like this. They are a strong team and the best in the Barclays Premier League.

"They won the first five or six games of the season and, when a team likes Chelsea starts like this, it's very difficult for the others."

Talk about taking a pessimistic view and exaggerating it. Im not sure than anyone at all was comfortable with the last two results, far from it.
Apart from that i dont see that Arsenal, Spurs or the rags are any more consistent than we are and they have been together for a while.
It is a big week for us, but it is a big week for everyone else, as will next week. If we have a bad week this week it doesn't translate into us needing someone to have a poor whole 2nd part of the season.

Im not sure what your on Ted but you have a real 100% downer on right now. What is the beef, you weren't like this last season.
I get the sense that you really starting not to like Mancini and his style.

Imo, our manager could wipe his arse with Harry when it comes to tactics etc but so far he's been unable to generate the forward momentum that Harry, Ferguson & even Hughes can get out of their teams. It's not just about wanting to attack when everything's right, a week on Tuesday, it's about actually doing it as normal, with conviction, without fear, & building it into the mentality of the players. Harry is hit & miss with that but Ferguson can do it with any group of players.

I was worried that I was alone!!

I night have preferred a draw - but if not I prefer a Spurs win. We are yet to click or go on any kind of a run and we are still right up there. Come the second half of the season when injuries and tiredness kicks in I hope our squad strength will really kick in.

I still hope for a good shot at the title or a top 2 finish - top 3 at worse - unless there really is some fundamental motivation issues in our squad I think that we will succees - if we have big rifts between manager with players or players with players then we are not getting top 4 anyhow

It's a very good result for us if we're going for top 2 but a terrible one if we're going for 4th.

A good win for Fulltime there!!

As for the Mancini comment about chelsea winning the league, it is all mind games, that was said in the week leading upto the chelsea game. Lets see if Redknapp will achieve anything by sending his team out to either win 5-0 or lose 5-0. Allthough they are good to watch on the odd day.

It takes a little luck and a deep squad...well we have the second already and we deserve the first.

He's in the Champ's lg about to qualify from the group having just hammered the champions & is level with us on points. Or does 4th suddenly not mean anything now?
