Where’s he off to? One of the only ones that tells the truth consistently.
I just read in the Times thay he's gone back there.
Nice one. Good. At least he’s not quitting.
Martin Samuel, one of the most influential names in sports journalism, has been appointed to The Times and The Sunday Times, and will start on 11th January 2023. He will also appear as a contributor on talkSPORT and TalkTV in a deal spanning broadcast and print.
Martin will pen his views in weekly columns on all the big sporting stories. He will also write across the news pages and magazines - both digitally and in print - for The Times and The Sunday Times throughout the year.
On talkSPORT, Martin will co-host a weekly show every Thursday night from 7-10pm - talking through all the latest sports news. He will also serve as a regular guest on the station’s breakfast show, and will appear frequently in the studio as a panellist on TalkTV.
Martin is an award-winning journalist who joins Times Media after 14 years at the Daily Mail and Mail Online as sports columnist. He was a sports columnist for GQ Magazine from 2012 and has previously worked for The Times, News of the World, Jewish Chronicle, Daily Express, The Sun and Sunday People.
Martin said: “Returning to The Times and covering what I think is the most exciting patch in journalism, is a huge honour. I’m also looking forward to meeting new audiences on talkSPORT and TalkTV.”
Nice one for this.
I really hope his level doesn’t drop once he’s on TS
