THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

Anelka kept us up during Keegan’s last season. He was a top striker.

Why the bad feeling? Still remember him jumping in the Maine road crowd after scoring in the last derby. That's how much he hated them, as he wasnt that passionate.

I think we really had a fantastic trio of strikers back then with him, the Goat, and Wanchope. Always had a soft spot for the Costa Rican. And Huckerby there also and we were something.
That was his way, always did, but I wouldn't forget how good he was at times.

He was top notch when he was arsed but when he wasnt he was poison like the 4-3 comeback against spurs when he phoned it in when we went 3 down.....
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't get the negativity. He did a great job for us. Scored big goals in big games.
Scored in the last Maine Road derby, against Arsenal, won and scored the pen against Chelsea when they'd have been " Invincibles" had we not beaten them and scored 2 at Anfield which i think is the last time we won there.

Yep, he was the classy player in the squad at that time. Very good player when he wanted to be. The anfield game is a particular stand out contribution.

Christ, we used to have arguments about Le Sulk.
My favourite Anelka goal was when The Goat fed him in last ever derby at Maine Road.
Also, there was one at an impossible angle at Blackburn, sent us top for first time ever.

This is boring - there is a lot of buildup to his iconic years at city
