****Official Overthinking City vs Lyon

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

This is some Thomas Tuchel level overthinking from Pep. Everyone in world football knows what City are good at. Who cares.
Go out and play the way you play virtually the entire season. As the better side you cannot let the underdog massively influence how to go out and play. That's playing scared and tentative. Pep has neutered his side today and it's going to cost us.

I'd bring Bernie and Foden or even Mahrez for creativity

KDB is wasted, we need to free him

Gundo gets picked before Ederson..in fact ...if it was a choice between one or the other, then Gundo would get the nod.

Even if in Pep's mind this formation is somehow working, he at least needs to take Fern off.

Fern was booked and then committed an almost identical foul moments later. He will be sent off next foul and he will definitely commit another foul.

Ive just had a 50 dollar bet with my mate that Fern will be sent off this next half if Baldie doesn't sub him first.

I never understood the need to change the tactics for a serial winning team. You may have to change the personnel but it should always be a case of ‘Our system and players v your system and players’.

Micah says he feels Pep underestimated them but Redkapp says he overestimated them by playing a back 5 and we look lost after we've only played this way 2 other games all season he claims (Sheffield United and Everton?)

Redknapp is correct, Micah is wrong in this instance

It was an excellent tackle unfortunately the ball broke perfectly for the Lyon player , a little bit harder and the player would have had to run to the left and could not shoot . Silly analysis. The ball dropped for the guy , accept it . It's not as if they created anything . Shit happens.

Lyon were going to be a problem no matter what for how we play, they play, our weaknesses, their strengths.

Amazingly, a red card is 4.7 on Betfair. A license to print money

I simply don’t understand Fernandinho still out there. If he gets a red card we’re out and Pep can hardly escape responsibility.
