Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

As it seems to be poll week here on Mancityfans.net
Who do you want to win tonight?
Liverpool win and we get closer to arsenal and can go 3rd if we win our games in hand
- Code: Select all
3 Arsenal 26 49
4 Liverpool 26 47
5 City 24 44
or
Arsenal win and leave liverpool on equal points with us but we still have two games in hand?
- Code: Select all
3 Arsenal 26 52
4 Liverpool 26 44
5 City 24 44
or
Its a draw?
- Code: Select all
3 Arsenal 26 50
4 Liverpool 26 45
5 City 24 44
What would you want to happen? Considering we are not in great form ourselves, I want Arsenal to win by a cricket score

Arsenal are the more serious contenders for a Top 4 place so I'd favour anything involving Liverpool not winning points and scoring Goals.

Hi Garry,I just wanted to shake your hand and ask you a question.I go to COMS as mucha as possible but sometimes I cannot leave the house as Sophie.....sorry..Sophie is my Cat...... needs a carer when Im away and sometimes I cannot find one.

Agree.
Plus we have Liverpool at home (winnable) and Arsenal away (completely un-winnable) so I think Arsenal are out of reach. Have a feeling it will be 1-1 though.
If Arsenal had kept that tw*t Van Persie fit they would be top of the league I reckon.

Arsenal to win without a shadow of a doubt. It would be nice to finish third but just getting into the top 4 is the priority and finishing above Liverpool is our best chance of doing that. Arsenal have played all their big matches now, other than us and spurs, so I can't see us catching them even if they do lose tonight.
The arsenal win is even more vital if the worst happens and we do lose the points we racked up against Pompey.

It's that sort of mentality that will ensure we get nothing from the Arsenal Match. If we've not won there in years then we need to go in to the game in April with a belief that we can win there. Ditto Chelsea.

Arsenal to beat Liverpool for me, along with Wolves picking up 3 points against Spurs would be nice but a draw would do for me.

The Pompey situation gives us two possible scenarios.
If we win our games in hand we potentially sit 2pts behind Arsenal and 3pts ahead of L'Pool.
A L'pool win could put us potentially into 3rd place.
A draw and we could go level with Arsenal and leave L'Pool 5pts behind us.
An Arsenal win leaves the Gunners 2pts ahead of us and L'Pool trailing us by 6pts.
If Pompey go bump and we lose the 6pts next week it is a different picture as L'Pool would gain 6pts over us from Pompey's demise.
Looking at it from that perspective.
A L'Pool win would leave us still potentially trailing L'Pool by 6pts but put us potentially 1pt ahead of Arsenal.

I think 3rd is what we should be aiming for.
Therefore a draw tonight and we win our 2 games in hand and we're right up there.

A draw would be the best scenario, giving us a chance at 3rd and 2 possible positions to aim for.

I agree that an Arsenal win would be best, and if it's by a 2 goal margin we go into 4th tonight. Cricket score it is.

Draw for me as it leaves open two possibilities to get into top four. If a draw can't happen, then an Arsenal win, please.

Apart from the goal margin, it would be great to see the slim dose of confidence which has helped Liverpool in the past few matches evaporate...and Liverpool slump to their natural position with the players they have: a Europa League squad at best.
Manchester City FC: the class of the Premier League!
