What cost us is mistakes, arrogance and lack of effort in certain games. Out two signings will certainly improve us and if we are on the ball we will beat anybody, so it’s down to the team spirit and Pep not over complicating things which will determine our season not our signings.
And in reality Liverpool are one major injury away from disaster.

Your last line mate describes what happened to us. KDB has predicted RandR will be needed for him and others. We are lost without him or Laporte, Edison is crucial. Pep said it, we have failed in the CL with this group. For me we are short in every area, if Sergio gets injured again we will be in big trouble. At his age that is a real possibility.

On the contrary, I can't remember the last time we had all our best players, at the same time, fully fit. The first fixtures last year before Laporte finished his season?

Strange thing being we were brilliant without him in 18/19. Bernardo was also excellent in his position.

Laporte was a bigger miss for us even though KDB is the better player. We simply have more options for cover in midfield than in defence

Wasn't being smart, just found it strange that we were so good without him yet also seem to rely heavily on him when he's in the team.

Yeah I get what you’re saying. Who knows what this season will bring. Kev might be average and Otter smash it.

If Liverpool sell Rhian Brewster to Sheffield that could fund their Thiago deal. Ugh.

They're selling him? I presume the media are rounding on them for not giving youth a chance?

His stats are shite. I know stats aren’t everything but for a team that won as much as they did I can’t see why they wouldn’t be better.

Aleix Garcia looks like he is going to a team that relegated this summer in Romania, but was saved after they changed the league format

Fuck me, I was convinced he was still around.

Who does he replace? Even £30/35M for a 29 year old who wouldn't be a first team regular is a lot of brass.

He wouldn't replace, per se, but be an option.
I feel Pep never fancied him, to be honest.

He would be far better as a number 6 than Gundogan when Rodri isnt starting.
Im very high on Thiago so I am biased but I think he would start as an 8 alongside KDB behind the attacking front 3.

Didn’t we offer more than €52 million already for him? It’s looking like he’s going to end up staying with Napoli now.
