Despite Marseille being absolute dog shit we were very good despite lacking a cutting edge . Our 3rd goal was a blast from the past and a thing of beauty. And I will say it again our defence looks the dogs bollocks with walker Diaz and Laporte, just need Ake back and it looks exceptional. Big shout for Gundogan tonight top drawer !
Not really here

Ha ha ha, so glad I was too busy to sign in tonight with that OP.

Superb game, and that’s what happens when you get a team that you want, not one that you have to field.

Despite? That game was not despite, it was about everything that this team brings.

They tried to do what every other team has done for a while, replicate a system that nullify’s football, and then hit us on the break while we are trying to play football.

When we win like that we should not try to criticise because of previous issues, we should just look and enjoy the football on show.

Loved it, even hit the roof, twice, in this new house I’m in.

If we can beat the Greeks twice next two games that should be us done though can see Porto beating Marseille twice
Good solid performance, Dias looks a player and also looks like he actually wants to defend

Didn't see the match, only the highlights, but I can't see how our third goal wasn't offside.
When Kev crosses it, Raz is a good yard in front of the last defender that I can see.
Was there someone off camera playing Raz on?

I am sure you are aware of this but you can't be offside if you are behind the ball.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Marseille finished 2nd in the French league last season, 16 points ahead of Lyon.

Further highlights how badly Pep got it wrong in the CL against Lyon.

Tonight was great though. We should qualify with 2 matches to spare and can rest some players for the final games before the hectic December period.

I have to say I slept soundly after that last night. Good to see the team start to tick again. KDB, Foden were excellent providing much needed energy and Gundogan was good again, still don’t want to see himself and Rodri starting together though.

Other thoughts hmmm without getting too excited Dias and Laporte look solid together don’t they?

Switching Sterling to the right an Torres through the middle worked well, Torres looks a really smart player. He made some nice runs but didn’t get the service.

Sorry I thought we were talking about this season not 456 years ago. And I don’t point, McManaman points.

Edit: that is the whole point. Just because one team beat another doesn’t mean anything. Thanks for helping me prove my point.

Reread your post and now realise "they" refers to the rags, not PSG. So I totally agree with your point :D

A wins a win Hazy. If we’d had Kolarov tonight maybe a 5 or 6 nil result. But unfortunately we miss that particular legend.

It wasnt a vintage performance by any strech but a win is a win. And we showed signs of improvement last night.

He comes out with some shit, that lad does.

We played very well against a shite side , or maybe Martin Samuals got it wrong and they are actually really good

Glad to see we have a fucking leader at the back with Dias....Baldie finally hit the bullseye with a proper defensive signing !!!
