From what I have read our owners are very happy with Guardiola. Of course they would like to win the champions league as it is the only thing left to win. I'd like city to win it.

It's the only thing he can be criticised for not doing in his time here. But making out he is in some way a failure because of it is bollox. Should do better and I'm sure we will at some point when every thing comes together.

Who said he is an overall failure ? hes only a failure in the CL...and he is...there is no argument about it.

At any other club of Manchester City's size the boss would be facing the sack after losing to Lyon in the Champions League... but Pep Guardiola is BULLETPROOF.
"The tactical surprise Guardiola came up with left Manchester City at their most vulnerable. It negated their attacking impetus, negated some of the finest forwards in Europe and condemned others to the margins. One moment Phil Foden was in the Lionel Messi role against Real Madrid, the next he was back to being Phil Foden — a docile observer as players with considerably less talent were entrusted in midfield""

Not for the first time the above happens........its happened many times.

Hes also made some brain fart decisions in the premier league...dropping in form players and instead playing under performing players - 2 facts that cannot be disputed.

To claim he can only be criticized for the CL is far off the mark.

He gets credit where credit is due..even from me and I don't like him !!..but he deserves all the shit he gets when he fucks up and some fans need to accept that justified criticism

No body is saying he's crap. However, he failed to beat an average side to progress further in the chimps league last season, we should have reached the final at least, it was there for the taking, that's down to him more than the players we failed, shit tactics and over complicating it. That itself constitute a failure.
My question is, would he change his ways, are you confident he will if we progress further in chimps league or revert back to over complicating it, I'm starting to think he's becoming overly obsessed with his failure in that competition which is leading to desperation.

As for premier League, well are you confident we'll win it? Do you think as it stands, we are capable of putting a 5 win streak? Again, that's down to him deploying wrong personnel. When he came in he blew the league with mesmerising football, truly special, it was great, no complaints. For whatever reason, it feels like he's only in the job thanks to his reputation as suppose what's cute you on display.

I truly hope I'm wrong and it's just a blip, hopefully he turns it around,

Was this hint similar to when Pep Guardiola declared that Manchester City could soon have a different striking option after Liam Delap's impressive debut?

Personally I hope Pep stays as long as possible. Other clubs and their fans know what a great manager he is and want him to leave us. The media is always trying to suggest it to destabilise the club.
It's easy to moan when we have not got the result we want. Many take for granted the great football we usually play. We have got to be careful what we wish for.

Him saying he is staying but actually not signing a contract is the reason all of this looks wank.
