Pep passionately defending the Club. Good stuff. I hope he stays for a long time. He’s achieved so much. I only go to some home matches but in most cases it’s been a real pleasure to watch the team. 198 points and the domestic treble/quadruple deserves full respect.

Love it

He let’s rip, that’s why I love him. Spurs CL robbery he called the officials wrong uns. Spanish ref the following year he got a red for telling the truth- Cheat. Getting him here for longer can only be good.

If Pep plays. High line v the scum when we play them I hope he would be given a verbal warning, minimum. They have no clue how to breakdown teams,. No high line Pep.

We will see if he has learnt after Sunday. Other than Aguero, he has his full squad to select from - not including the goon Mendy so no excuses. Pick the team and formation to swamp their makeshift, shit defence and pin the two full-back back. That means no Mahrez until we sre four up

So you want a high line? We can't pin them in without it but as Hazy says we leave our vulnerable to that long ball counter if we do that.

We ALWAYS play a high line and sunday will be no different. We have looked more solid recently, but my guess is that Pep will tinker with the formation a la Lyon. Wouldn't surprise me if he put 3 cbs out. Bottom line is we know how the scouse will play, if they cannot get out, they are fucked, does it leave us open to the counter, yes it always will but Pep is not shutting that door and having us play on the counter instead - it would be a way of stopping their kick and rush though

No we don't, we've had more success against Liverpool recently by adapting our tactics to a more pragmatic style, going back to the 0-0 at Anfield. The one game that we reverted back to type in the three games since then we got beat 3-1.

When was the last time that we didn't play a high line? Probably the 0-0 at Anfield. Personally, I think that way would be a good way against them as it takes away their asset of breaking on us, something we should look at with the other red shite as well but I don't think Pep is that pragmatic for a home game even if it is one that we must win.
Looking forward to seeing the line-up though and that's possibly the first time this season

Our last two home games too mate the 2-1 and the 4-0, we allowed them possession and invited them on, Klopp struggles with it.

5-0 at Atalanta looks great, it is but does not tell the whole story. Atalanta created just as many chances and spurned the lot
This game Sunday could break them, if we are compact get KDB on the ball we could destroy them.

Quite a lot in the press about Pep and Klipperty wanting five subs per match, hmmm given pep’s use of subs I’m thinking his he having a fucking laugh, Sunday v dippers one sub used in a game screaming for a change. I think pep’s argument for five subs might have more credibility if he used the fucking three he has already.

The dippers were there for the taking Foden would have turned Milner inside out , two pts thrown away imo

Agree - hes embarrassing himself coming out with this corker.

The interviewer should really take him to task over this.

Pep Guardiola has led the campaign to allow five substitutes in the Premier League, but the Manchester City boss rarely makes use of the three reserves he can already play.

The Citizens' manager has been called out by the Burnley statistician, Dave Roberts, who was quick to point out after City's 1-1 draw with Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday that Guardiola only used one substitute in the tightly-contested game.

'Bore off, Pep,' he wrote on Twitter. 'The Premier League clubs have voted against it. Twice. Manchester City has sufficient resources to rotate their squad, and for this not to be an issue.'

In fact, an analysis of Premier League substitutions this term reveals City are ranked 18th for the number of substitutions they make, averaging only two changes per game, above Burnley and Aston Villa, on 1.7.

Pep wants it so he can rotate better as he doesnt trust most of the squad - so if stones or Foden are playing shit in his opinion he can haul them off and not have to worry about being conservative with further subs

I reckon anyway

Read tonight that Pep wants to give a yes/no for a one year extension towards the end of each season, around March/April.
City would agree to each January.
