A lot of our attacking play down the left comes to a halt when Sterling gets involved. That's not singling him out, it's a fact.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

It's a fact Walker conceded the penalty anf KDB missed a penalty, it's a fact Roderi and Gundo in middle don't work.
Todays issue is the midfield, not Sterling, sure he should do better. Unless we got a Messi or a Ronaldo in their prime to get us out of trouble and paper over the cracks, the issue is poor selection and team is not functioning for various variables, I think it's Pep not committing and just maybe this is affecting the players mindset. Two seasons of going backwards, shouldn't do with this squad

I think the way we play our football this season and last, is much too slow and doesn't suit Sterling's strengths. He cannot cope with packed defences and our build up play is so slow it allows the opposition to form a deep barrier that requires a perfect pass and movement to get a chance on goal.

That's fair enough looking at today's game in isolation but I'm not. The problem down the left happens frequently. It's not just today.

It comes to a halt because Sterling isn’t a left winger. He has to cut back inside. When Sanè was on the left and Sterling was on the right we were flying. And Sterling won us a fair few matches in the last minute from the right in 17/18

The two consistent errors are sterling not playing on the right and rodri and gundo both playing

Is it that straightforward though? When he receives the ball one of three things happen. He runs up a blind alley and is dispossessed by the four men he tries to dribble through, he is eased off the ball by a defender and ends up on the floor or he gets into the box and fails to pick out a decent pass. He should have been rubbing his hands today when Milner came on but where was he?

Bernardo had yrs without a break but for 12 months has been crap, no sugar coating it. Also is he more Stones than KDB of the pitch just saying I heard months ago he is not as professional as he could be - he looks like Rodri slow.

He possibly overthinks it when he’s out on the left? He’ll be thinking the defender knows he’s going to cut in so what other option has he got, and by that time the move has broken down.

I am sure another manager would play Sterling and Bernardo and other fuckign players in their natural positions and then we would see players playing to their full potential.

I am guilty as any for slagging off sterling but I think the blame lies squarely with our so called genius manager who WILL NOT change his ways and will continue fucking up players confidence because of how he makes them play out of position.

Bernardo's fall from grace ( To name one player ) is 100% Baldies fault...hardly plays him and when he does play him (Normally off from the bench ) he will stick him somewhere where he doesn't perform.

I'm sick of seeing it.

And yet you get the impression that some of the players are only here because of Pep and would likely fuck off if there was managerial change. Hasn't Sterling hinted at that previously? Why would Sterling be so keen to stay and play for a manager that constantly plays him out of position, and ruins his confidence? Why do they not get together with each other back at base and suggest a few tweaks, for the benefit of team cohesion? It beggars belief.

I do not know the answer but we seem to always go over the same problems week after week - problems that PeP will not or cannot solve.

Rodri won 1 header and was robbed of the ball x amount of times......shocking he was but PeP sticks by him .....the question is why does he have patience with certain players and none for others..like Bernardo.

Bernardo was arguably POTY for us a little while back wasn't he ?...he cannot just fall from grace like this without good reason.

Pretty sure I've seen an interview with Sterling in which he says his favourite position is on the left as he prefers cutting in to score

He did but still did his customary fuck ups.

Hate that we have to play mahrez or sterling, usually both for 95 minutes because we have nobody else.
