This may go against the grain but I think Pep is playing the long game with Phil, really acknowledging his talents but wanting to protect him for a full career.

I’d like him to start every game but do understand why he doesn’t.

Ps. Clown? I’ve just realised I shouldn’t even Have respond to a comment like that.

Some of his team selections are something from the circus!!

Some of his team selections are something from the circus!!

Is that the selections that won ‘One Hundred (100)’ points and, maybe an extra cup?

Is that selection that won all domestic cups, overcoming the second most corrupt season against us that I’ve ever seen?

Is that the team who finished second in the Prem after the most corrupt season I’ve ever seen, winning a cup along the way?

It’s strange to think that the probable best manager in the world could be classed as a clown so early in the season, just shows how high our expectations are.

These are worrying times and I understand how football/allegiances gives us a release but, at the same time, we should not go over the top and demonise a ‘City Legend’ when he still has a say on how things play out.

Oh, and apologies, never meant to be so abrupt.

After Gundogan and Foden's performances in midweek, I think it's nailed on Gundogan will start against Spurs and Foden will be on the bench.

He didn’t do the same with Messi Beefy so why would you say that? Considering Pep has said Foden is the most talented youngster he’s worked with. Do you believe Pep really is that bothered what Foden will be doing in 15 years time?

Honest assessment of Foden he is just as you would expect hot and cold so to hammer Pep for rotating him and others btw is daft. As for Pep caring, just listen to the best players. Foden did not help himself with Greenwood who it seems is a problem still. Phil has learned we will benefit for years.

Hot and Cold ? One average game, I can remember him having, is not hot and cold.

PeP does not play him enough and that's a fact Hazy - its been pointed out many times , Martin Samuel for one.

Nobody is denying his outstanding achievements, especially me but if we like it or not, that is in the past.
You must agree that some, not all, of his team selections and tactics have been poor last season and we have seen the same this season. Sometimes its head scratching stuff. Mistakes that were, and probably will be repeated, time and time again.

Do managers go through dips in form like players do, probably. Maybe we have seen a dip in his form. However be it form or whatever reason it is completely undeniable that a lot of his decision making since the beginning of last season has been fairly poor. in reality making himself look very foolish at times.
I have no ill will towards the man, but I want him to get back to what we know he can do.

Ffs Beefy lad, if you can’t admit Pep has been well off for over a season now and some of his selections and tactics are ridiculous for a manager of his level there’s no point in having the conversation.

It’s bizarre Carl. Our most talented youngster for years and we want to pull him down rather than build him up. Not sure why people are so overly critical of a kid that’s done amazing since coming in.

I know they are professional athletes but the current schedule is not conducive with looking after players.

It’s up to Kev to speak to Belgium about it. He was moaning openly in an interview the other week that he was knackered. If he wants to become proper captain material he needs to step up.

Asking players to openly say they will not play for their own country in general is a no win situation for the player almost ever.

Their club managers can (see Mourinho recently on Kane), but the players themselves cannot without severe repercussions on their lives I suspect.

How will that go over with Belgium supporters/media, his home nation and one who is vying for the Euros? They would absolutely crucify him if it came out.

Weird. I said he needs to speak with Belgium about it, not openly say they will not play.

Speaking to his manager to say he’s knackered and needs a rest, and if they want the best of him they need to use him wisely.

No worries man.

Re: Mourinho - I feel sorry for the guy. Obviously so little going on in his life he needs some excitement in football by just talking bollocks and making ridiculous comments. Similar to Keane.
