It’s strange to think that the probable best manager in the world could be classed as a clown so early in the season, just shows how high our expectations are.

These are worrying times and I understand how football/allegiances gives us a release but, at the same time, we should not go over the top and demonise a ‘City Legend’ when he still has a say on how things play out.

Nobody is denying his outstanding achievements, especially me but if we like it or not, that is in the past.
You must agree that some, not all, of his team selections and tactics have been poor last season and we have seen the same this season. Sometimes its head scratching stuff. Mistakes that were, and probably will be repeated, time and time again.

Do managers go through dips in form like players do, probably. Maybe we have seen a dip in his form. However be it form or whatever reason it is completely undeniable that a lot of his decision making since the beginning of last season has been fairly poor. in reality making himself look very foolish at times.
I have no ill will towards the man, but I want him to get back to what we know he can do.

Only downside of these strange games is that Kev played both of the ‘so-called’ competitive games, meaning that, if he plays on Saturday, he will have played 3 games in 7 days, going into a very busy period.

I know they are professional athletes but the current schedule is not conducive with looking after players.

It’s up to Kev to speak to Belgium about it. He was moaning openly in an interview the other week that he was knackered. If he wants to become proper captain material he needs to step up.

Asking players to openly say they will not play for their own country in general is a no win situation for the player almost ever.

Their club managers can (see Mourinho recently on Kane), but the players themselves cannot without severe repercussions on their lives I suspect.

How will that go over with Belgium supporters/media, his home nation and one who is vying for the Euros? They would absolutely crucify him if it came out.
