The experienced cynical city fan in me is waiting for the team to implode and our world to fall apart. However, there is no reason that we cannot achieve a CL placing. We have some very big 6 pointer games coming up, however, We are City and it would be fantastic for us the live the dream this seasona nd go on to bigger and better things.

4th for me

I don't really understand this poll mate. Are you asking where I THINK we'll finish (5th) or whether I think we CAN make it to fourth (yes).
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I think I predicted 5th before the season, so I'll stick with that.

I really really hope I'm wrong though!

You'd hope with 2 games in hand and the form of other teams that 4th was secure. We're certainly on the right "trajectory".
I think we should be thinking 3rd
We have 7 games at fortress Eastlands (or COMS) and are meeting what 5 of the average sides Hughes could only draw against.
We have games (and the chance to take points0 of all the other pretenders to fourth.
And apart from Villa we all have 2 or 3 encounters with "the big three".
It's all about the run in
But I'm going to vote fifth cos I think we're playing on the edge at present and can't be trusted in some games

4th is quite clearly in our hands, we just need to up the pace a bit. despite the DDDDDDD and the defeats lately, it is very much ours to lose imo.

lets beat the stoke and the scousers and see where we are after those games.

I am hopeful but I've got a horrible feeling we may fall just short and that we'll suffer a couple of hard luck stories. Three of our next four league fixtures are against teams competing for these positions as are three of our last four, they will be cruial. I don't fear Villa or Spurs but the bin dippers are looking better defensively of late and if Torres hits form when he returns, it could be hard for us. Arsenal will secure third, I think.

The thing that gives me optimism is our forward line. With Carlos, Ade and Bellers we can win games and pick up points even when not at our best as they will score goals.

Heart says 4th, head says 5th, very close between us and the dippers.

I have voted 4th

Whilst we are capable of making some mistakes - so are the others

Frankly from a position where most rivals have 12 games left - we have 14 and are 'level 4th' on points then anything less is an abject failure given that we have a (much) stronger squad than the rivals

3rd if Stephan Ireland plays in a creative role. We know were good enough to beat Arsenal at the emirates, and if we keep our home form going and pick up a few away wins there shouldnt be a problem.

Its all about belief and positivity, and a less negative approach from the manager

Ditto.

I predicted 5th before the season and the way I see it that's where we are heading. BUT I do think we have it in us to give that 4th spot a good push.

5th won't be a complete disaster - although I fear one or two in the dressing room really fancied Champions League next season!

Who'd take us in the Europa League? We'll win the f*cker.

Went for 4th first but then realised it was more of an optimism than confidence about it. Changed to 5th then.
I still believe we do have a chance of finishing 4th!

4th is ours. If we don't beleive it then how can we expect the players to beleive it. Negative vibes will flow onto the pitch from the stands.

Voted 6th just so I am not so disappointed if we should not get 4th (which I think is ours to lose).

I've gone for 4th. The games in hand are vital for us and can give us a lead over the other contenders.

My only concern is that we have the toughest run in. We have to play all of the 'Big 4' plus Spurs and Villa. We normally step it up against these sides though (Spurs excluded) so I'm hoping we do so in these upcoming games.

I just don't know what we are yet. I need to see a few more games to decide if we're having a blip or not. We don't look top 6 at the moment (neither do the rest) but I'm sure we CAN get top 4 so I'm voting for that.
