Actually , Jesus is a striker and a good one.

Our problem is that we are not able to give the striker the crosses and passes he needs.

even Kun knows this - which is probably why he is happy to be on the sick bench.

He (Jesus) is spending an awful lot of time dropping back into midfield because of Screw ups by Razza and Mahrez. Both players i would be happy to see plying their trade in Spain. Cash in and let the youngsters loose. ( note ! fellow fans Loose and not Lose ).

What a strange game. It seemed roles were very much reversed and they became City for a while. We had a few chances though and my overarching opinion was that we played within ourselves and walked away without being really threatened. Is this what we are trying to install in the team as, basically, we are seeing this season as a building one.

Got to love RatBoy, basically complaining that we weren’t gung-ho as usual, meaning that they couldn’t pick us off like they’ve previously done. When a Rag cunt complains about your play, especially when it’s a Derby, means that he was expecting a win for them. No chatter about their play whatsoever, even though they are the home team.

Anyway, not too disappointed.

God we have been spoilt. KDB is the only creative player in the system. But we need that spark of magic to open up teams.

Jesus is an exceptional team player and works his bollocks off every game for us but not an out and out striker . Probably our best player today in a truly awful forgettable derby .

When Mahrez cuts back everything points to him shooting. Jesus, Kane, Mbape would struggle. Frustrating night.

Just a quick question. We all seen how the ref walked away from the penalty for Rashford but soon turned around after he got a call down his earpiece (similar to what has just happened in the Everton v Chelsea game). However, there was an incident very similar where Sterling went down that was just waved away but RatBoy did his sucking of teeth, which usually means there was an incident that he can see on relay, but I don’t remember seeing any sort of replay from Sky.

Did I miss something?

Sad this beefy, but 26.20 secs Mctosser cleaned out Sterling. Nothing. Ferna does that he is all over it. That crap game between two poor sides on the night.

We don't have the team to play like we do. We no longer have El Magico to play that deft little through ball , or Yaya to make that powerhouse of a run that scares the shit out of defences. Yes we have KDB but you can tell by his reaction today that he's as frustated as f*ck. We have players such as Mahrez who more often than not plays like a wet lettuce. Rodri who is mostly uninspiring whether defending or going forward. I don't think we can play with one striker ( Sergio or Jesus ) because we haven't the same threat to score from other positions as we had. IMHO we have to change setup/tactics or rebuild the team.

Why did we play in slow motion? At one stage twenty on the clock sterling got it as we broke out and just went at snails pace before ending up god knows where with the ball in defence.

Have to say dias and stones are looking the business. Fair play to stones I wrote him off but probably man of the match for me.

Great to see fern getting back to his best too. Stick him in there on his own he would be grand against 90percent of teams.

Rodri poor again gave the ball away under no pressure several times and didnt stop a single counter attack.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers, mate. I’m always a bit skittish with regard to the Derby but RatBoys sucking through teeth said it all to me, especially as there was no narrative to it.

Even if it’s a dead cert, we just don’t get those decisions.

You ask why we play at a snails pace but then say Fern is getting back to his best, so you think it’s coincidental?

Last season we used Fern in the back 4 thinking we could utilise his talents. I supported it due to the circumstances but I can’t support him now moving back to a more advanced role giving he didn’t get younger all of a sudden.

Sad to say but he’s not the answer and Gundogan brings far more nowadays.

We don’t do making money, we’re not a selling club. What we do, do is invest in players to give us the maximum capacity to win trophies, which is what football is all about.

Sterling, and a few others, are part of that maximisation.
