What I’m driving at is we had two golden opportunities in the last 5 mins and both directly at the goalie, they should have both rattled the net, that’s the difference. Sterling, whilst his goal record has been impressive by any standards over the last three seasons, when the big moment comes along like CL QF last year he missed a literally open goal to draw us level, ok Tuesday wasn’t as big but a very important moment and all he had to do by instinct is nod either side of the goalie....3 points instead of one. This is the difference, and whenever he’s through 1 on 1 I’m never confident he’s going to score and most of the time he doesn’t. He has great skill but is weak minded.

I totally agree. We should’ve taken all 3 points against Brom, let down by poor finishing. This is we’re really missing Aguero. Even though a little older he can still drag the defence apart and score from anywhere in or around the box. Don’t get me wrong, we have some good players but only one that I would call a natural finisher, all the rest are a couple of levels down.

Have been giving a lot of thought to our performances this season, I have been very critical of team selection, lack of the use of subs ( even though pep wants five not three) missing chances and in some areas lack of desire.
However, I think we all agree this is not a normal season, disjointed pre season, no fans at the games, stupid international breaks which has lead to a congested fixture list. All these issue have contributed to where we are, I do believe we will improve overtime, I do not think the team needs major surgery especially with the emergence of Stones and Dias, clearly we need a striker and left back. If we secure those two we will emerge out of this just fine.
