Seems good enough to me.

Mendy has won back-to-back Premier Leagues, two Carabao Cups, the Community Shield and the World Cup

And hes fuckign shit.

He didn't play many games in those though.
Gundogan played 14 on the trot when Fern was injured. We won the lot.
He scored in a Champions League Final.
He's not fucking shit.

Gundo is so shit, he would have every top club after him Fact. Shit my arse. Get a top holder and even the post to moan lot might just see it. 100 POINT CLUB and outstanding during that run. short memories.

Outside of Match threads - I don't think anyone, other than that cunt Mendy, are really shit.........its all down to the manager IMO.

I pretty much agree with this. Mendy was a power house / speed merchant. He lost that with his injury and is now just a mediocre footballer.

I actually rate Zinchenko much higher. He's not necessarily a left back, but he's a very good and versatile player.

In those games, he directly replaced Fern. So we still had another 2 attacking midfielders on the pitch, plus 3 forwards.

The issue now is Pep is accommodating Rodri so we play Rodri-Gundogan together and we lose an attacking midfielder. This creates a slow midfield and is a big reason why we've lost our spark over the last 18 months.

Neither Gundogan or Rodri are bad players, but playing both of them has changed our play and we've become a poorer side for it.

True but the focus this season is the CL.
Every PL game is just practice for the CL knock out games.
Pep (surprisingly) has traded some attacking flair/goal threat for a more solid midfield/defence.
£ to a penny the assistant manager has taken him aside and said you will never win the CL unless you do this.
The assistant manager is correct and Pep respects him.

If Pep wins the CL with us, then there is no argument, he will be hailed as one the the true greats of management, probably the undisputed Number One
I hope he does it because for me Klopp is a fraud, false smile and persona who IMO only won the PL because the powers that be intervened with the decisions.
(same as they did when we played them in the CL).
Pep is many things but he is no fraud.

I hope you’re right.

But in previous seasons the reason we were knocked out was because Pep deviated from our normal way of playing.

Against Lyon he shat himself and played a 3-5-2 trying to match how the 7th best team in France played.

The year before against Spurs he put KDB on the bench for the 1st leg. Our best player!

We may have been more successful in the CL if we continued to play the style which gained us 198 points over 2 seasons. But instead Pep makes odd decisions and tries something new in a crucial knockout CL game.

If the style he is employing so far in the league is to prepare us for the CL knockout stages, then he needs to stick to it in those games.

Agree totally with this, will he have the balls to do it though, or will he try to outsmart himself again. If we build on this defensive strategy I think we stand a very good chance of winning, Stones is proving himself at last, Laporte is very good but ALWAYS fucks up in big games !

I genuinely believe that he does not want him. We should be all out for an out and out striker but Pep does not think this is a problem
