How do we know that commentators are miked into var officials? Or is that just supposition. I know they can tell if a review is happening but are commentators heard by var officials?

The VAR offixials won't be sat in their little box watching the game with no sound.perhaps he is more the 'influencer' but he does his job when it is required

Neville is Streetwise he knows 100% what he is doing. As I said at the start, listening to him he is cute with it. As random as it sounds, I think in his mind he is doing what comes naturally when it comes to his team. Yet when-it comes to direct rivals or opposition he is silent. When we scored our third at Chelsea, he had 10 15 seconds of dead time, tv talk for nothing. The rag thinking shit, City look back to something like we were 18 months ago. He sad v Villa That’s not getting overturned. Yet at no point does he come back since to say no contact. If Pogba did that v the Rags, would he have called it so quick !!! No chance.

All this discussion about Penalties, is interesting. However, the only way to stop the rags being gifted penalties is to break down their attacks outside the box.
The tackles must go in before they enter the box. Of course it won't always be perfect , but when players are in the box and not going for goal, rather trying to make room for another attempt there should be no tackles flying in. Just shadow the guy out of the box.

The issue with that is they are inevitably only running into the box on a counterattack and that becomes more difficult to stop and also brings in last man, red card. The only other way they look to score is by pinging crosses in when chasing a game and here you find them either looking to go over your foot or their own and both get them ted cards. Its an art form at present and they are truly milking it

Indeed , mind you our passing against Chelski on Sunday was sensational sometimes in that first half. So it will be really important not to make unnecessary passes in their half , to avoid them getting the chance to break as well.

Says something about City cancelling the game at Everton, on the Sky home page. Righto, I never knew teams could do that.

I think he and the rest of ill- informed masses received a wake up call about title challengers last night. The Beeb can rightly point out that the red shite can (& probably will) go top when they beat Burnley but there are ominous sounds coming out of our camp and it ferls a bit like normal in this last week doesn't it?

Happy New Year you deluded red shite

Neville, like Keane, Scholes and a few of the rest of them who know a bit about the game.
Deep down they know the rags are not good enough, they also know that the manager is not good enough either. And that football style is old hat.
They just dont like saying it. But they know it.
