Was like that against Palace, more case of their players prepared to absorb the shots by putting their bodies in front.

I'm sure some manager recently came out and said he shouldn't be reffing in the prem.

Can see us losing this, not quite sharp enough. Might be the pitch or the tiredness but. Rodri needs slinging

Said the same here. Think we will blow them away second half but need to put a couple of these chances away sooner rather than later

Considering its PISSING DOWN I think we have played really well and AV have got block after block in and fair play to them...but we carry on like this in the second half and we will score.

Was always going to be a tough game. Villa are well rested and playing well.
Only for Foden and kev, we would have nothing.

And pity he didn’t have De Bruyne’s foot to pass it back to him on goal.

Difficult game. Shit conditions, a team who pack the box and are very disciplined in their defensive shape, and then have a plan when they get a chance to break. I was unsure how they’d be after 3 weeks off and it looks like they’re quite fresh, even if not completely match fit. Wonder if their legs will go a little in the 2nd half?

Some good moves from us though and I thought Foden should’ve put it away after that ball from Kev. Overall, dominating the game but got to be careful with them breaking. I think a goal is coming but wouldn’t want to get sucker punched trying to push too many forward.

Indeed. Villa will tire as the half goes on. Patience is required once again. It isnt as if this is the first time a team has come to ours and defended as if it's the CL final and we invariably find a way to get through

Fuck me, BT having a Villa love-in. Anybody would think all these pundits are either Rags or Dippers!

Oh, sorry, they are.
