Sergio blow

Sergio has tested positive for Covid. A real disaster. After being told for 10 days he was isolating because of contact with a relative he doesn’t normally have much contact with he now tests positive. Not sure the Club have been entirely transparent about this. Whatever the situation he’s out for some time and Jesus is totally misfiring. Are we really ruling out a move for say Ings?

Diego Costa.

On the subject of Aguero, I actually sent a poster on here a pic from a video over Christmas that Aguero had put on his stories on Instagram implying it’s a matter of time before he gets COVID.

The guy was seeing loads of family and friends throughout Christmas and New Year. Since he’s got his new girlfriend and has set up his online gaming company I genuinely don’t think he’s that interested anymore in playing football. This season should definitely be his last.

Aguero’s tweet. He hasn’t trained for 10 days and has symptoms he says. It can’t be assumed he comes back after the minimum period for isolation. Gundogan said it took him time to recover. Also Sergio tends to need games to get back match sharpness.

Not the news I wanted to read on Aguero was looking forward to him coming back in.

Amazing we are doing so well considering how many players have been sidelined with covid.

You’d think Delap would be worth some minutes on Saturday but Pep wants to win everything so will probably start strong at least.

Our problem is this

Stirling can’t beat an egg at the moment

Jesus is a total passenger game after game

Mahrez is a waste of time and slow the game down and passes it backwards

Sergio, is currently a sick note and we need a striker who can bag all the chances we create as none of our senior strikers attack the 6 yard box and score

We need fresh blood

Kevin out for 2-3 weeks with a small hamstring tear. Great.

Currently serving a suspension for a straight red for violent conduct following his hat trick.

Does that apply to senior games?

I don't think getting himself needlessly sent off again is going to endear him to Pep.

Not good, I was looking forward to seeing Kun getting back playing. Can Torres step up or even be given the game time? Is he still isolating?Jesus just hasn't done it for me. Out and out striker needed, we've enough midfielders.

What did he do? Probably just kicked the corner flag.

Haven't seen it but apparently a dangerous challenge, the red mist descended.

It’s a huge failure of the club that we are still so reliant on an injury prone 34 year old striker who it is apparent that he has lost his passion for the game
That said, all the best to him, I hope he recovers soon

Torres was on the bench lastnight, so unless something happens in training he's available

Cheers I missed that, we've a few options then in fairness.

Not a bad trait if he can control it.
