Always amazes me when players who are not regular starters don't take the opportunity to show what they can do in games like this. Look at Taylor yesterday, played out of position but got on with it. The least expected on the other side was for Mendy to be competent his strike aside, thought he was largely anonymous. Mahrez, the same, can take a ball out of the sky with one touch, but should be bossing games against a lesser opponent. I dont think we learned a lot yesterday other than we should not be fucking about with the defence
Most footballers , pro or not can take a ball out of the air.
Mahrez cannot take a player on unless he has a four or five stride run up like Sterling . Sterling has a turbo boost though. Even gundo , whom many consider slow can get around players . Mahrez really is our weakest link in Attack.
I did make me laugh when the BBC commentator was waxing lyrical about Mahrez, saying what great feet he had, just as Mahrez tripped himself up.

We also learnt that Foden aside, our front three on current form is average, no matter what permutations he picks.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

I’d include Bernardo with Foden. He’s been class recently. Bernardo and Foden should start most games on the right and left. Torres in and out until he’s settled.

He is brilliant at RB and then moving into the middle to add more creativity when we don't need 4 at the back. Walker has played really well there but Cancelo is now ahead of him, he has played that well. Do you think he should replace KDB in midfield

Wish one of them had a decent left peg so we could play both all the time. Cancelo and Walker have different strengths. Walkers pace had got us out of trouble on many occasions, with his mm goal line clearances.

I agree about Walker but now think Cancelo offers more. Which is very hard on Wlaker due to his consistency over the last couple of years.

No. KDB is the best player we have. I'd be happy with Cancelo on the right of midfield with Walker at RB. Real strength.
