Care to elaborate?
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Not at all happy. Would have thought we were better than this but its about money not fans.

Will this also not make us more vulnerable in the league? Surely players will suffer with playing more high intensity teams.

Just reading the clubs statement and it seems like more of a way of fuckin Uefa over. Still continuing in the Prem, but the CL is fucked off.

Also, why the fuck are Spurs even invited?! Reminds me of the film Dinner for Schmucks.

The elite tried to exterminate us and failed - our prize is to become one of them. UEFA & the PL were willing executioners so it is no surprise we have not ridden to their rescue and the PL vote for Tebas as UEFA rep from the European Leagues group cannot have gone down well in AD.

What about players image rights? Surely they’re linked to the CL?

Imho, they are stupid if they go along only with the big clubs and a closed circuit,
If they want to get rid of UEFA, they should have reached other countries like Czechs, Portugal, Romania, Ukraine, even Russia. Or this might be the plan on the long run.

The superleague will have small support from the fans in Europe, but I have a feeling if they play it in China, Japan, US, even South America, the audiences will be quite big.

I will not exclude yet that they are bluffing and way UEFA to invite them to the negociating table and there the clubs will take the bigger pie, will be in control of everything. Imho this might actually be a power takeover.

Let's see, but same as you lot, I will not follow City in this.

There’s a massive case of irony in all this.........if we are the driving force behind it then all the clubs in this new setup were publicly hammering us during the FFP case.....we all know what lengths the hateful 9 went to to get us kicked out and have titles stripped etc.....and all the time we were in discussions with ALL of them to create a new money trough.........its a catastrophic error of judgement to get into bed with the shite of world football.......

If the PL were to allow us to continue playing in it (which I doubt), what relevance would the league have? If a team was trailing by 25 points midway through the season, would they just throw in the towel and field the kids? Even if they were relegated in their domestic leagues, Founding Members would be safe in their cash cow competition, it appears.

Also, I'm guessing there's no way teams could continue with the League Cup. There's too many midweek domestic cup competitions from the leagues involved to adjust anyone's schedules for that, as Copa del Rey and Coppa Italia both have midweek rounds as well, and I'm guessing the FAs of the countries involved wouldn't be willing/able to accommodate this competition.

That’s exactly it haha. We need to remember why this has come about. It still stinks, but Uefa have caused this.

David Bernstein on BBC just now is against it. Very bad thing for football - what would Peter Swales have thought I wonder?

Certainly won't be paying yet more money. Only positive things (in many negative) is that I hate UEFA and I thought (I think everyone did) that the Premier league idea would kill football, when it ended up saving it.

He'd have already bought Messi against future video rentals.

Or maybe Steve Daley?

This is very, very interesting, wonder if if the clubs asked the players. Their future is at stake also.
Is there a worldwide football union? Know that many countries have a national one in this part of the world, but what about a global one?

Kevin Parker from OSC following Bernstein in disrespecting our owners - "no connection with the fans" apparently they "only understand money".
I hope Khaldoon and the Sheikh have factored this level of criticism into their calculations - we are already being singled out for special vilification.

This is actually really positive for lower league clubs. Attendances will shoot up for them when fans from the 6 clubs stop following them and go and watch their nearest lower league team.
