New Super League

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I'm not unhappy with anything Pep said in the press conference, but I can't believe that he hasn't been told anything about these changes. I'm pretty sure he knows exactly what happened and exactly what the clubs view is, as well as likely their plans going forward.

I really really hope we pull out of this. I think there's an outside chance that we do.

Of course he was briefed.
IF were to pull out it will probably be in conjunction with another club.

I think we should be speaking to Chelsea and coming up with a plan to pie off rags, scousers and the other two.

Florentino Perez has suggested that matches could be reduced from 90 minutes to "attract younger viewers". FFS.

Tory seats too

Don't get me started on this - there's an election coming up on May 6th for a West Yorkshire mayor (the first one) - all that twat is worried about is northern votes - he's using the 'working man's game' (if it can be called that any more) to try and sound relevant.

That does sound significant. I wonder if rumours of unhappy board members are true.

It's interesting that with their own league, they could create entirely their own rules too. They could literally be playing an entirely different game to everybody else.

Although that's also why it makes sense FIFA can ban ESL players from all international tournaments. Those players wouldn't even be playing the same game.

He said a lot of other stupid shit. That's why I just cant believe that we would do business with this clown. It goes against the entire fabric of what the board have built.
Its baffling, and there must be more at play than we know about. At least I hope so!

Yep the likes of City Xtra & We Love Man City FC (Man City Report) are all running with "One of the 6 on the verge of pulling out because the Rags & Murdering Dippers lied to them".

I suspect that might be linked to us being the last to join, them persuading us with BS.

What planet are some people on, I have just heard on tv a justification for the super league is that young people are no longer interested in the current set up because there are to many low key games?? Young people are not interested because they can’t bloody afford to go to football anymore and having top clubs only playing won’t change that because the price of attending these super games will be double what they are now!!!
YOU DON'T PICK CITY , CITY PICKS YOU AND WHEN IT HAS!! NO MATTER HOW BAD IT GETS NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU SAY THATS IT NO MORE NO SEASON TICKET IF YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN BY THE BLUE MIST THE ONLY TIME YOU STOP BEING BLUE IS WHEN YOU DIE!!
IF YOU ARE LUCKY IN YOUR ERA OF BEING BLUE YOU WILL SEE SUCESS IF NOT HEARTBREAK EITHER WAY YOU WILL BE BLUE. ITS JUST THE WAY IT IS!!!!

CITY TILL I DIE !!!

MCFC have released a pictured statement from peps presser which criticises the ESL . Half a dozen city players have retweeted it , this is a show of solidarity within the club . No other club in the “six” has done this it could be significant for sure.

Jordan Henderson is supposedly calling a meeting of all 20 prem captains about it.

That would be a zoom meeting I'd like to see

Absolutely, and what's Lewandowski's injury got to do with anything. Drivel. The longer this silence from the club continues the less likely they will step back.

All the players mentioned have since un-retweeted the post from @ManCity - which follows the trend of Joao Cancelo yesterday, who deleted his Instagram story which showed his support for an anti-ESL post. From City Xtra on twitter
