I respected their style of play from being quite young.
The final link came when they invaded the pitch at our last game of a relegation season at the old Boleyn Ground and cheered and applauded the City fans.
Like City, they get far less media coverage that their more fashionable neighbours and like City their fans have been tested through success turning into catastrophe.
Maybe there is also a 'Typical Hammers' to match our 'Typical Citeh'.
Their fans have always been respectful of City and despite their defeat were happy stay behind to applaud our title winning celebrations. They even applauded the City fans on their way out of the ground.
I hate the old cartel of the rags, dippers, gooners and Chavs and any team that can help break that cartel in the Prem gets my support. Arsenal are already out, the dippers likely to fail too, If the Hammers can displace the Chavs....that would please me immensely. If they can't, then my support will fall behind the Toffees.

I know what you mean, but my memory of the Boleyn ground is not so good, it was the year we won the league 1967/68 we arrived at the ground in the Maynes coach and the bastards were firing fucking air rifles at us some windows were smashed, we get in the ground near what was called the chicken run, I was quite big and could look after myself so when we scored with a Franny Lee special I had to batter some prick behind me, therefore I am not so endeared to the fucking green street twats

That lad is a walking red card, some of his challenges are really bad, he is clearly immature, I noticed again City he was losing his composure, he is still young, but he looks like he has a really bad attitude

Commentator says “ Burnley player pushes Wolves player who falls on the floor” how many more times, it’s the fucking pitch not the floor, the floor is in your house you moron
Now it’s 3-0 what’s happened to Wolves

I was there at that game Harry, and I well remember that the City fans got in their end very early as the gates opened . I remember too that a friend of mine asked a copper "Where do the West Ham fans stand?" The copper duly showed him and we duly made our way to the area he'd defined.
By the time the Hammers arrived, their home territory was overrun by the Kippax faithful and there were far too many of us to be shifted.
In hindsight, the Hammers had every right to be well pissed off with us.
And again, in fairness, that was how many years ago?????? Maybe time to let that incident drop eh?
