I have the TV on mute when he's on. He sounds like a whining fucker even when he's trying to be positive and constantly criticises players. "He should do better" seems to be his catchphrase. He always seems to be paired with Rob Hawthorn who is another that irritates. He doesn't commentate on the game. It's random historic facts about the odd player followed by repetition of "Here's" "Now" and "This is" for each player that has the ball. Can't stand either of them.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

Haven't even secured Top 4 yet; theoretically, they could still finish as low as 8th.

Hope they do get top 4 personally. It will mean one less of the " big six" getting Champs League.

Then we will be back to the back door entry from the europa, could see the arse getting in because of that which is a piss-take. Cannot be arsed looking up the permutations but seeing as we are on for winning the league having already won the energy drink cup at Etihad south, thought that would affect the quotas for next season

I think it will still be 7th place in the League getting Europa as with a Chelsea / Leicester Cup Final probably both will be top 4 and if not one will be in the Europa places anyway.

From how I understand it:
Top 4 = CL groups
IF Arsenal win Europa, they're also in the CL groups
THEN: positions 5-7 (assuming the cup winners get a CL place through their league position) are as follows:
5 - Europa group stage
6 - Europa group stage
7 - UEFA Conference League play-off round
(This assumes Arsenal finish outside the top 7, otherwise positions are bumped down 1 place)

Would love the murdering thieves to have to play the Conference League play off - European royalty lol. I'd rather have them in the Europa League as opposed to out of Europe as then they could bin off the domestic cups as usual and concentrate 100% on the PL next season. Then again I'd rather see them go over Beachy Head in a bus.........

Yeah, I'm in two minds as to whether Europa or Conference is the worst punishment. Europa is a guaranteed 6 games interspersing the first half of the season, but the Conference is a play-off a couple of games into the season against teams most likely to be runners-up of mid-tier leagues (Scotland, Austria, Denmark) that can easily be thrown without much long-term humiliation.

Absolute twat. I noticed it the first time I heard him on our games. At that time one or two were still caught up in the 'great to have an ex City player on TV' (now there are droves!). But he worked at it, carried on perfecting his technique and is now hated by absolutely everybody with any City connection.

Beagrie was the same a few times he was asked about City on Sky. I haven’t seen Beagrie on there for years though, not sure if he still commentates on the lowers leagues.

I can understand not wanting to come across as bias towards us, but these guys stick the boot in. I can’t understand it.

Europa league for me all day long. More games against better but not great opposition who are in the shop window i.e. eager. Like the Rags having to rest Cabin and Pigs against Leeds. Also helps with a few more injuries, etc..

He was sacked by Sky in 2017 for assaulting his missus: https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-yor ... e-40953098

Odd (and completely unrelated) fact about Beagrie: of all the clubs he played for, he made the most appearances for Scunthorpe, despite only joining them a few months before his 36th birthday.
