He was sacked by Sky in 2017 for assaulting his missus: https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-yor ... e-40953098

Odd (and completely unrelated) fact about Beagrie: of all the clubs he played for, he made the most appearances for Scunthorpe, despite only joining them a few months before his 36th birthday.

He’s always terrible for us but the last straw was the Bernardo incident.

Richards starting to do as he’s told now....Story on BBC where he tells us Foden can’t do what Grealish has done at Villa, and the only reason Foden is as good as he is, is because of the players around him

When Grealish does what Foden did last night, there’s a conversation to be had. Until then, can it, Meeks.

In fairness he knows Grealish from him time at Villa, his point about Foden shining because he's surrounded by talent is a bit crap though - Foden's never been a player that profits from the team - it's the other way around, he was making things happen for England's under 17's regularly when they won the World Cup, and he continues to make things happen for City, even on the big stages. Grealish can't even be mentioned in the same breath as Foden right now.

Although I like Micah he’s very much what the cameras want, and gives them the same. He’s been swift to move from partisan to the media impartial which probably leads to many silly comments, just like the ones of Foden being loaned out. Even though the majority of City fans knew what was best for Phil, Micah ploughed the media line of getting him out to the Championship, now telling us all that Pep has done a superb job.

Grealish is as good to a team in many ways but, Foden is far the better player.

I don't think Micha will last as a pundit.
IMO his analysis, debating skills, verbal descriptions, incisiveness and awareness of situations/people around him are not very good.
It always looks to me as if he is out of his depth and only survives because those around him support him.

The only reason for that support is because he is 'good' TV, for ex, 'the banter' with Keane, the good humoured laugh, the sunny disposition. Micha comes across as a nice guy which I think he is.

However, IMO the audience will tire of the 'good TV' traits pretty quickly, then there is nothing to sustain Micha re analysis, the supports will be pulled and Micha will be gone.

I hope I am reading this incorrectly as I like Micha.

Best City pundit by a mile is Trevor Sinclair on Talksport.
I'd love him on Sky- can't see it ever happening though.
