Will be out for a coiple of early sherberts before this to calm the nerves. Think this score could literally be anything. We will get chances that we need to take. I do think we will look to starve them of the ball, di-maria drops back leaving the other two up top so there will be spaces for us to overload them. They are dangerous as fuck on the break but we are no mugs

I think collectively we are the better team than PSG. Lets see the team Pep picks, I still have some niggling worries in that department. In reality this team picks itself. This is our strongest 11 and that's what we need to see.
Ed
Walker Stones Dias Cancelo
Rodri Gundo Silva.
Mahrez KDB Foden.

The only argument there is Fern or Rodri. But he will start with Rodri as he was didn't play Sunday. I am not a Sterling hater but I do hope he doesn't play Sterling, although he worked very hard on Sunday, we has dreadfully wasteful, we cannot afford that tonight.

Mbappe is very dangerous, he can hurt teams on his own. We HAVE to play with complete belief and we HAVE to take our chances.

This year I am optimistic.
Pep will not overthink it and pick his strongest team.
(Big thank you to the assistant manager who I think is responsible for getting Pep to see the light defensively).
We will boss possession and they will try to hit us on the break. Then it comes down to can we take the chances created and can our defense handle their front three, who can be brilliant.

I think we can and we will.
Because Neymar is moody teenager and is not a team player. De Maria blows hot and cold. That leaves Mbappe who may not be fully fit. PSG's defense is not solid and they are involved in a scrap for the French league.

Expecting an intriguing game and expecting us to go through. So are the bookies.

I'll have to disagree, Stones made few mistakes recently, I'm in two minds, Laporte is getting back to form, it's like a yo-yo between those two.

Same. Laporte has dropped a bollock a few times in Europe in the past, but he’s looking confident at the moment next to Dias. Tough one and probably why Pep is paid to make these decisions. No doubt we’ll see Mendy at CB with Ed upfront.

If we play the team and not the competition I think we should be okay, some players fuck up doing the simple things in this cup that they would not normally do in PL, that was evident on a couple of occasions v Dortmund, so stay calm play our normal game and we can enjoy the game.

I'd rather Laporte next to Dias. Stones even with the improvement still tends to turn backwards a lot and play short sideways passes which could be very dangerous against their skill and pace up front. Laporte plays a lot more incisive forward balls.

Agree with all that, only to say there is no way Fernandinho can play two games back to back anymore & the last couple of games he's got himself in trouble through frustration. Real shame as he didn't stop trying against Chelsea but looked very tired against spurs at the weekend.

I think he’ll play pretty much the same team as on Sunday except for Ederson in goal and Rodri for Fernandinho. Laporte on the left is far better than Dias on the left. The big call is Sterling or Bernardo. Bernardo probably gets the nod. We need at least one away goal.

Either will do me too. As long as Pep doesn't have a brainfart and play Garcia, I'm happy

I hate using talkshite links but this is interesting, I wonder if our players are little snowflakes apart from Fern.
We got to mix it, ugly and sublime footie if we want to progress. A younger Fern would have been perfect for the role.

Laporte, all day long. Stones and Dias had a great thing going though. Tough call. What a game to be in.

Cannot see him changing from sunday's pairing either. Stone's red card could bot have come at a worse time for him. The bonus is we now have cover
